Leave it to the Brits to always be ahead of the curve and set trends for the world. In a ramp up of draconian measures that have been implemented using Covid-19 as a pretext, the British Parliament is debating a new Anti-Protest bill that would usher in a new era of totalitarianism in a land that once fought against fascism by land, sea and air. Though the United States is recognized as the preeminent economy in the world, in a lot of ways, it is still the UK that sets the tone when it comes global governance and public policy postures. The embrace of Orwellian restrictions of our freedoms and rights is a harbinger of what is to come for America and the rest of the world.
Winston Churchill once stated “never let a good crisis go to waste”; as lawmakers are wont to do, every time there is a calamity, not far behind are legislations ready to be enacted that eviscerate our rights and shred our freedoms. Except this time they have outdone themselves and shown their true malicious colors; instead of protecting the public, the ruling class saw Covid-19 as a perfect opportunity to implement policies planned a long time ago that nullifies democracy and replaces it with tyranny. They are doing this by stoking general panic, inducing mental illnesses upon society through draconian lockdowns and distancing that serve to disconnect us from the sense of community we need to thrive emotionally, physically and spiritually...continued...

You're overdoing a bit on this, I guess!Leave it to the Brits to always be ahead of the curve and set trends for the world.
There's no trend that could be beneficial for the world to be set by the Brits, as most of the ills that the world has been suffering to date have their roots in Brits and their malicious politics of double standards.
The acclaimed playwright and author, Alan Bennett, once said, "To be English is to be a hypocrite, I am English, I am a hypocrite.", adding, "England excels at one thing - hypocrisy!"
In addition, when it comes to protesting, Britain would be the last on the list of countries where people protest. Protesting is not part of the British culture at all, even in private. Apart from small groups of people protesting for animal rights or environment around the parliament, it's extremely rare to see people protesting in mass in Britain. Protesting is not known with Brits, hypocrisy is indeed!
Just a thought!

Leave it to the Brits to always be ahead of the curve and set trends for the world.
Don't be fooled by the fuss about the murder of this woman. They're making this simply because she's white! Although the suspect of this crime is a police officer, he didn't commit this while on duty! Whereas there were a few cases in which police officers on duty (and in their frigging uniforms) committed serious crimes against blacks, but despite the availability of sufficient evidences, the police intentionally failed to prosecute the culprits and take them to court.
The police, the justice system, and the media in Britain are institutionally racist, and double standard and bias are their unofficial code of conduct.
For instance, a report commissioned by the then Blair government found the police institutionally racist! That was 20 years ago!
But guess what - the then Metropolitan police commissioner, Sir Ian Blair, passed on the ball hitting out at newspapers accusing the media of institutional racism!
Ten years later, the then head of the Metropolitan police's anti-racism unit was saying that, "she believed the Met was still "institutionally racist", saying that, "there is not an institution out there that could say, 'We are not racist'."!
Twenty years later, when Grenfell Tower went up in flames, the 72 deaths were “a product of institutional racism”. At least 34 victims were nationals of African (among them a few Ethiopians), Middle Eastern or Asian countries.
Don't be fooled by the hypocrisy of the Brits! And most of all, be assured there are no sane trends to be set for the world by the Brits!
