We all know that Eritrea been fighting the super powers who been plundering African resources, creating conflicts between neighboring African countries to enhance their own interest in a place they shouldn't, and so far all the burden was fallen only upon Eritrea and the Eritrean people have suffered tremendously and Eritrea was isolated by smear campaigns.
Now that the giant of Africa -Ethiopia finally figured out that it and all the other African countries are not really independent and thus started telling these superpowers to get their hands off its internal affairs, Eritrea finally found a real partner in fighting to stand on our own two feet.
And the freeing of Africa in my opinion is going to happen by the diaspora Africans, just like we been seeing across the world capitals as we speak.
Now, the Ethiopians and Eritreans need to widen such demonstrations to all nationals of all African countries diaspora and march in the major world capitals and cities.
We all need to demand that Africa should wield VETO POWER at the UN, and Africa's problems should not be tried to be 'solved' by the white man interferences.
Thank you Ethiopians for releasing most of the unfounded pressure Eritrea was under in the last 3 decades and we the Eritrean people will be on your side what ever pressure they put on you. After all if 6 million Eritreans can stand the heat of these crooks, thieves superpowers let alone a billion Africans only a 110 million Ethiopians plus 6 million Eritreans can finally free our continent.
Now the UN, the USA and EU will notice the power of determined people and will revise their doctrines for their sake.
If the white agames Europeans can go to Iraq, Iran, Libya, Afganistan to help their uncle Sam (say 911 terrorists event which happened only in the USA) and destroy terrorists, murdering millions of Muslims (and call them casuality of wars) then sisterly African countries have equal rights to destroy a common terrorist group.
So, let's go for HANDS OFF AFRICA by bringing the whole African diaspora.
I know that what we seeing now (Eritreans and Ethiopians ) is more than enough to change the crooked west minds, but if all the Africans join in, we can shake the world and change the system of dividing and rule Africans philosophy of the west.

I agree with you 100%. What is funny is that the west were to concern about Eritrea's bold determination to be Aid free and follow the policy of self-sufficient didn't sit well with many white people because this may spread through Africa and the whites will be out the game. Sure enough Eritrea paid every price there is to be paid but sure enough other African countries started to follow Eritrea's way and one of them is the mighty Ethiopia. The Americans are terrified, they lost their slave, TPLF and Ethiopia is going the other way; they are desperate and they will do whatever it works. But.... again, what they witnessed yesterday in DC is something that will disturb them for a long time and some thing that will give them the reason to think Africa and Africans in a different and a new way, with a little respect. What you witnessed yesterday was something it shouldn't have happen in TPLF eyes and their masters. How do you explain two African slave nations who were in bloody war for 20 years, yet, to come out in one voice saying screw you to white people? the new era of Africa is upon us and Eritrea gets all the credit there is to give and Thanks for Ethiopia to understand and follow the path.

Yes, it is time for our brothers and sisters in Somalia, Sudan, S. Sudan, and Djibouti to stand firm with the Eritrean and Ethiopian governments in their heroic action to rid of the cancer of the Horn region. Yes, we Eritreans paid and continue to pay heavily for our principled stand to be free and to just be left alone so we can run our country the way we believe it best serves the interest of our people and neighborhood. Was that asking too much? Apparently, many of the western governments thought it was and has been doing what they could to portray us as the neighborhood spoilers knowing fully well that they never had the moral high ground to judge us vis-à-vis the well documented negative activities they have been committing against third world people, in general, and Africans in particular. In the name of "Arab springs", for example, they encouraged and helped the people of Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen to revolt against their rulers. Now, how are the people of these countries fairing? Not well.
The bottom line is that we need to cooperate with each other and avoid being the victims of western neocolonialism anymore. Enough is enough, We have the human and material resources that could get us out of the economic misery we currently find ourselves. But we could achieve that only if we cooperate and work together for the mutual benefit of our peoples and avoid being subservient to any foreign interests.

Yes, I share the optimism. There is a real awakening at least in some part of East Africa.
It is my hope it will spread out more.
It is only we Africans who could change the image the world has about us.
The Abiy and Isayes friendship has developed— to the envy of some — because the two believe Africans have to be master of their future.
