Is this really true?

Post by DefendTheTruth » 05 Mar 2021, 09:32

I just couldn't believe what I am reading, I opened the Facebook pages of some of the government and party officials but couldn't see something related to this claim.

Can someone please clarify/confirm, if this statement was indeed issued by the government of Ethiopia claiming what the Washington post is saying?

"Ethiopia now calls Axum massacre allegations ‘credible’"

In case it is true, then this is a serious matter for all of us.

The wording is ambigues in my view. The statement says that the government is investigating credible allegations all over Tigray, including Axum. I'm not sure if this can be interpreted as the government confirming the so called "Axum massacre". I think what the government is saying that it has the obligation to investigate any credible allegations wherever they may happen incuding Axum.

Thank yoa temari for the link,

there is no smoking gun that the so called AP reporter is smelling, yes I think it is not specifically related to the alleged massacre in Axume, let alone somehow admitting it.

I don't know if the woman has got any left over credibility to work for any credible international media organisation.

We all don't wish that to happen any where in this world, let alone in our own country against our own fellow citizens, and now she thinks she could appear more sympathetic for the "victims" (the people of tigray) by shedding her crocodile tears. Shame!

May I ask her to go back home and help the refugees sufferring in her own country through her own government?
