President Isaias Afwerki's Interview in a Nutshell - updated

Post by sarcasm » 17 Feb 2021, 14:34

Dear Ethiopians,

This is time for you to begin learning Tigrigna because your Niguse Negest believes he is here for good and only gives interview in Tigrigna and you are missing out.

Your Niguse Negest said Ethiopian business is our business.

He said the war is not over.

His paranoia is back - he expects to go on sanction route.

His megalomania is getting worse - he believes he rules, not only Eritrea and Ethiopia, but also The Neighborhood (by neighborhood, he means Horn of Africa, East Africa, Nile Basin countries and the Red Sea countires)

Everything is foreign agenda's fault - America is back to being his enemy.

Also, bye-bye constitutional federalism in Ethiopia.

Here's a song that summarizes his interview. Enjoy : )

Wedi tigray,

I do concur with you on this specific subject. You are absolutely right in my opinion.

Man!

This mafia dude makes me yawn. I followed his so-called interview for half an hour but the yaywning was there.

My sympathy for the 2 so-called journalists who were interviewing him based on the initially long time well prepared questions which they were supposed to ask and their reaction? Well, they were reduced to solely nodding their heads by asserting that they "concur" with him. Mind you, that they have families.

I fail to see any difference between the interview which he gave in 1998 and in 2021.

IQ level matters to understand the Lion of Nakfa's interviews

.... What if the coward TPLF Junta had listened PIA's precious advice, I am sure the whole Tigray would not be in dark on the eve of የካቲት 11.... At least, it is worth it to listen the interview.. The Lion of Nakfa had given a generation changing advice but the coward TPLF goons did not listen and I am sure agames will regret for the rest of your agame history by not listening ...

You can go ahead and listen what PIA said 20 years even 30 or 40 years ago in his interviews about today. You will also understand the depth of this interview.. may be in 20 years if you are alive by then

Dedebit is always dedeb

It seems he's continued today from where he's left in February 2021. His megalomania is getting worse by the hour. Now he thinks he leads the Southern Hemisphere that is fighting to stop Western / American and European Uni-polar world order.

Your mumbo jumbo aside, the key points PIA talked about in his first interview were the following:
1. The first round of attack TPLF unleashed against the Federal forces was with the thinking in mind that the 30k federal army stationed in Tigray would be defeated easily and then TPLF would find advancing towards north like a walk in the park.
2. Without learning from the first debacle, TPLF tried a second invasion and was able to reach Debrebirhan. However, their army was too streched, too far from its base and its supply line was very vulnerable to attack. Any military leader who has even basic knowlege of military strategy would never make such horrendous mistakes like the TPLF generals did.
3. The third offensive was taunted as the last one that would break the seige once and for all. In the run to the third offensive, TPLF's arsenal was being replenished from shiploads of planes that were landing in Mekele on regular basis.
The last offensive was different from the first two in that Weyane amassed hundreds of thousands of poorly trained Tigray youths and sent them to their deaths on all directions.
4. Eritrea had no option but to stop this madness once and for all. In coordination with the Federal forces, it took a massive counter attack against TPLF forces until they pressed the emergency ባተን for help. Instantly, a plane was sent from Djoubouti to airlift the leaders. Some of them were transported to Uganda and the rest to Pretoria.
5. In pretoria, Uncle Sam ordered TPLF negotiators to sign the paper and the rest is history.
6. It is mind boggling to think about the logic behind TPLF's madness. Hundreds of thousands of TPLF soldiers have vanished in this war for nothing [to protect less than 30 criminals- mine].

Thanks, brother Asmara for saving me from translating PIA's interview into Amharic, admittedly, a language I am not fluent in, far from it. Come to think of it, I suspect an official English and Amharic version of the interview may be available soon.
Notwithstanding the two Eritrean-pretending Agames mambo jumbo, you have presented the correct and honest translations of the President's interview. Good job!
