That is also what I suspected but I did not say it. I was led to that when I heard him condemning the fact Oromia has become a massive prison
for its youth while on the other hand Oromos are being accused as teregnas. He said Oromo Women in the western part of Oromia cannot go to fetch water in the River and return home safely. He must have had lots of revolutionary Oromo friends in the prison. He is also more intelligent than the average fotalebash/qomiche, he knows Ethiopia is increasingly disintegrating and is trying to save it, but it is too little too late.

Lidetu, Engineer Yilikal, other Oromo Activists and OLF were numero uno enemy of the state during the reign of Woyane. They were labeled as terrorists and had given a different kind of names under Woyane administration during all those rosy years of Woyane era.

Now, it is just amazing that at this very difficult time for the same Woyane who came in defense to speak boldly about the crime that has been committed inside Tigray under the name of law and order, are none other than the same Lidetu, Ylilikal and OLFites.

I am wondering how Woyane feels( regrates) today for what it did when sees this dramatic turn of events.

Atlast, Ledetu and Yilikal, these two guys have proved that they are really men with integrity.

IF Ledetu who used to work hand and gloves with weyanne is your idea of opposition, it tells US how you mistook opposition to servile. I rather have weyanns than an opportune backstabber. We have known weyanns are the manufacturer of lies on grand scale, and sure they have used their expertise to confused the international community, but for willigly self confused there will be no cure. Tigrayan people's dignity and human rights should be respected and protected. If what has been propagated by Ethiopia's enemies is true or if it has a grain of truth it needs to be condemned, but the same propagandists who were raving about their preempt strike capabilities weyannes are the one who are shedding their crocodile tears. Abiy Ahmed, Abadula, Demeqe Mekonen, Andargachew Tsige, Girma Birru, Dina Mufti, Birhanu Nega and almost all ADP and ODP authorities in today's Ethiopian government at some time they worked with Woyane government.With the exception of Birhanu and Andargachew, the rest of the names on the list have been on active duty in Woyane administration until the final days.

What makes Lidetu any different than the rest of these dudes? Because he followed his own political strategy to reach his political goal? Because he is outspoken and to the point with no fear? Because he entered Parliament and confronted Meles in reality? What is his guilt to be labeled Kehdetu? Simply character defamation against someone with different political point of view.

Good point. Here is the difference though. All the EPDRF members who were marching to the tune of Weyanes were in one camp. EPDRF members didn't jamp ships and didn't try to confuse anyone in the opposition or otherwise by saying one thing and sleeping with the enemy at night, at the expense of those who entrusted them with their life. A staunch enemy is a good friend. Do you remember Ledetu as recently as a year ago complaining in Mekle that the opposition agenda has been hijacked by Abiy? And getting a round of applause from Weyeanes? The reformist, for the lack of a better term, within EPDRF having realized the unattainable position EPDRF found it itself, made a smart move to sideline Weyanes; Cause had they failed in that move the consequences would have been unimaginable. Although it is hard to tell how sincere it was at least they asked forgiveness from top to bottom to Ethiopian people. Funny you said "he entered Parliament and confronted Meles " I am not being sarcastic here but he is the only "oppostion leader " who stood by Meles to invade Somalia, giving Meles cover and distraction for his human rights violation after he lost the election in 2005. What Meles did against Somalian people in the name of fighting radical terrorists, hadn't had American shild him , Meles would have ended up in the international court as a war criminal. Now after weyanes committed treason against the Ethiopian army AND the Ethiopian people, and Ledetu fully aware of the consequences had weyanes succeeded in overthrowing Abiy by force, which would have resulted the disintegration of the country as we know it, Ledeut is in full swing smearing campaign against Abiy, even Egypt could not come up with a better smear. Ledetu tried to work with Woyane and with all political parties involved in Ethiopian politics with a good intention thinking of that if it benefits his country while he kept and maintained his political belief fully independent.

Probably he is one of the few political figures in today’s Ethiopia who happened to be detached from the politics of the sixties which was full of hate and deception that sacrificed the whole one generation of Ethiopia in the last four decades.

He spoke firmly in what he believes in standing before the left and right extremists, before pseudo unionists and ethno nationalists. He never hesitated to present his argument freely in every panel he participated in.

Well if his travel to Meqele for discussion with TPLF, being critics of Birhanu Nega of Genbot7, entering Ethiopian parliament to assume the seat he won, his practicing playing bipartisan politics, which it has never been accustomed to the modern Ethiopian politics, makes him a traitor, well then Ato TGAA, I must be missing something big and that something for sure, I won’t be able to recover it in another hundred years.
