Besh Gebeya, one of the over a dozen companies of East Africa Holdings, aims to create 100,000 jobs within the coming five years opening 25 additional stores in Ethiopia and two in the neighboring countries.

“In the next five years we will have 25 additional stores all over the country and two Besh Gebeya cash and carry stores outside Ethiopia. We will reach 100,000 employees,” said CEO of Besh Gebeya, Mr. Fitsum Nigussie.

Forex issues that is crippling Besh can be helped a bit by the coming Bir/Naqfa exchange? So, business between Eritrea/Ethiopia can boom quickly.

what did i said last time import is killing us and you r promoting import ... i am not saying all import is evil but as of now we import 98.9% basic item this is not good for our economy hence we should reduce our import by 80% then we can run good economy .. how we do that by manufacturing good locally... did u see how American Trump acted when he notice the Chinese out done him with G5, Trump out right ban it and arrested the CEO DAUGHTER .... THIS American willing to go to war with China to win the trade war.. but us we keep importing ... again slowly by slowly we have to switch to local good and service ....even we should give our local factory protection by giving them free land free tax, incentive until World Trade wakeup and stop us we should do every thing in our power to develop our own market ....

we Ethiopian luck is your type of people it doesnt matter if we have different political view but when it come to Ethiopia economy we stand united.. look this Eritrean guy by the name of Selam... look what he is doing ...

back to the subject line this guy Besh Gebeya imported 10,000 item out of that for sure they can produce few of them locally... instead of opening another Bash Gebeya ...i wish if they invested to produce local product to sale in their store

the other day i saw documentary the Saudi Arabia built super mega milk production also hen and egg production .. just ask how in hell the Saudi managed to supply their own milk and egg need while Ethiopia cant feed itself.. the answer is viston if u said Saudi have money then you will be wrong because they keep their cow in air condition barn while Ethiopia could have everything and could not do it...in Saudi not the government help them either they started with 300 cow and now they have 100,000 cow ... while Ethiopian milk improvement agency had started 60 years ago with 100 cow and they still have 100 cow they dont even sale the milk... they drink it themselves and beg the government to support their agency...with this kind of attitude we will never grow.. thing start to change

I am a Shiro and Berbere loving hardcore Ethiopian who wouldn’t change in good times or bad and never stop to hate Woyanes from sunrise to dawn.
