The Tigrayan nobility speaks standard Tigrigna because they had to deal with day to day administration of Tigray and Ethiopia and had to develop the language. What Emperor Yohannes and the emperors before him spoke will be the standard Tigrgna in Ethiopia, Africa and the rest of the world. Thus Tigrigna spoken in Tigray, specially in Enderta and Tembien shall be the standard Tigrgna.
