The Amhara have been claiming land that did not belong to them. In villages where they settle ae members of the army, they will give streets their village names replacing the local names. Example Shewa Ber (Shewa Gate) in Harrar. Tegulet Ber (Tegulet Gate ) in Maichew. I do not know how the situation in Harrar City is. But I think Amhara are the minority in Harrar. In Maichew, there are may be 200 Amharas in a University Town of 30000 people.
The Amhara are recent migrants to Ethiopia compared to other tribes like Gumuz, Tigray, Gamballa, Sidamo, Wolaita, Saho etc Oromo and Somali are also recent migrants. The Amhara should have the right perspective as citizens of Ethiopia. Otherwise wars elimination could follow. Non-Amhara Ethiopians need to live in peace. The Amhara need to stop expansionist dreams.
For example the capital city Addis Ababa or Fin Finne belongs to all Ethiopians. It is Aksumites who were administering the Shewa area in around 2nd Century. The Oromo or Galla are recent immigrants. But are part of the city. Addis Abeba should be under an Ethiopian administration not Amhara or Oromo. Tigrayans are also part of Addis Ababa or Shewa as they are one of the first ethnic groups who were administering the area when Shewa was under Aksumite Kingdom.
