Well, I miserably failed to understand your objective with the above statement. The reason is simple because, I couldn't find any thing in Abere's comment that deserves such kinds of explosive response that you have given. On the other hand, the opposite is true. He should be admired for bringing his personal bright wish that he wants to see for both countries. That is positive and that is what we need. And that should also be prioritized, life doesn't circle around politics all the time. If people becomes business oriented, that results to less interest for politics and more tolerance for different ideas and development. Freedom of movement for both people and products is a must in todays world. So, it is big plus and every sensible person would prioritize such kinds of initiatives if one wants to see development and prosperity.

Being said that, my worry is though it will be the current Eritrean government that will not allow such kinds of positive development to occur. Because, its past tracks suggest in that direction. It has never had any better relationship with anyone.

There will be some few people who will do anything to disrupt the peace of the region, and the cooperation of the people of Ethiopia and Eritrea. These negative elements are angry that the Woyanies are removed. I am ecstatically waiting for the Gondar - Asmara Rail Road: Economic Engine Grid should start soon. The integration of Eritrea and Amhara Region will have immense benefit the economic transformation of the region in general and improvement of citizens life in particular. The Amhara region is the source of nutrition of Ethiopia in general however the ungrateful Tigray liberation front as well as the aimless Oromo liberation front stifled this potential for long with an intent to bring down Amhara people and their region - knowing the economic power, work ethics, business practice faith and talent. Likewise, for decades the people of Eritrea were condemned to suffer economically due to the ill-intent of TPLF working with many international agents who intrinsically want Africans to see failing. Luckily, truth in the end is prevailing the Amhara people have waken up so are Eritrea now looking the downfall of the evil monster, TPLF. I don't want to comment on your internal matters, but I know you are capable of solving your internal problem by yourself. However, a good relationship with Ethiopia would help but I don't think it would hurt your march to democratic governance. If it were, in the past 20- some years you would have achieved it. I think as long as both countries agreed on the principles of good neighborliness and international law, both people would benefit. I don't want to comment on Oromo Amhara relations as this is an internal matter which I hope all Ethiopians will be able to peacefully solve their issues, but I am glad one of the biggest obstacles to peace for Ethiopia and the Horn in general, TPLF has been removed. Economic development in the horizon is going to kill all the hatred consumed people who supported the TPLF or secretly hoped the TPLF would beat Eritrea and Ethiopia.

"The sky is the limit"! That is what the honorable PIA responded when asked about the feasibility of our two countries working together by ESAT reporters in Eritrea several years ago. The honorable president of Eritrea is known to say what he believes in, and not for just political consumptions.

Gone are the days when the Weyanes had poisoned the minds of many Ethiopians by stating that "Eritreans are enemies of Ethiopia and Ethiopians" etc. etc. Thanks to the wisdom and oversight of Prime Minister Abey Ahmed and other Ethiopians in the current leadership of the Ethiopian government, however, the tiny peeping hole of 'peace & Friendship' has been burst wide open with a certain hope and goodwill anticipation of working together. That is a fact that no naysayers could detract, no matter how hard they may try. And had it not been for the now-defunct evil, and green-eyed Weyanes and the unfortunate Covid-19 pandemic ravaging the world, much progress in economic integration would have been realized. Oh well, we will get to it soon.
