The fisrt Oromo singer, who openly opposed TPLF rule in Oromia, extends his gratitude to ENDF

Tsegaye Dandena was the first Oromo singer, who openly condemned the rule of TPLF in Oromia and advised OPDO not to work with TPLF in his music lyrics before any other musician in the country. I think that was in 1992 or 1993. Condemning TPLF by means of music lyrics became fashionable after decades since his was released with other Oromo musicians and the rest in the country.

He is a living pioneer in this regard.

Now Tsegaye came back to the scene and praised the ENDF for chasing away the TPLF and winning over them.

I think Tsegaye Dandena proved himself to be a man of principle, when many opted to make themselves just paid low lives in the field today.

One of the most memorable lyrics I always keep remembering is:

Biddeenni Oromoo furdaan utuu jiruu (ብዴን ኦሮሞ ፉርዳን ኡቱ ጅሩ)
Maal kajeellaa dhaqTe mana waddi Gabruu (ማፍ ካጄላ ደቅጤ መነ ወዲ ገብሩ),

Tsegaye is saying in this video that he was also the first Oromo artist that the TPLF tried to harass, exactly before 30 years, in Ambo town, where he was staying at the time in the year 1983, E. C., and they deployed a military unit of a corporal command or so to capture him.

I think it was a year or two after that that he released his first critical song of the then newly minted power brokers in the capital of the country, that I posted above.

He also says in this video that they dragged the body of another beloved Oromo vocalist, Ebbisa Adugna, on the streets of the capital of the country even before he was dead by the fatal injury he sustained by his murderers, who were TPLF forces.

Ebbisa was known for his patriotic songs of praising the Oromo Liberation Front and condemning TPLF, which came to the Oromo region to dominate the Oromo people and people considered them by then to be enemy of the OLF itself, a consideration whose authenticity is now questioned very much.
