Why don't Ethiopia and Eritrea Unite?
There is a possibility of Ethiopia and Eritrea uniting, having a common religions (Islam and Orthodox), sharing a border, and having amiable relations, and the two leaders (Abiye and Afework) love each other, but the biggest hurdle is Amharic language. Does this statement not indicating that Abiye Ahmed wants to unite the two countries?
Re: Why don't Ethiopia and Eritrea unite?
The filthy Agame! You Agames are prostitutes who would like to bend for የናታችሁ ውሽማ! We are a nation built by the blood & bones of our martyrs & became an independent nation from colonialists. We will be good friends for those who give us respect & volcano for dirty Agames like you. We will continue to be good neighbors with Ethiopians but no more relations with dirty Agames!

How do my brothers in the North and Red Sea carry ignorance and high stupidity. We want to unite the people of the region, and you want to separate from the region. This is the worst stupidity.

Re: Why don't Ethiopia and Eritrea Unite?
This is an indirect way for the agames to instigate conflict between the brotherly peoples of Ethiopia and Eritrea-but putting the sovereignty of Eritrea into question, knowing the emotion it'd evoke among Eritreans. We Oromo/Ethiopians respect the independence, and sovereignty of Eritrea and would never ever propose such an idea, that would essentially be very disrespectful to Eritreans, their martyrs, their country, etc.
Re: Why don't Ethiopia and Eritrea Unite?
This totally smells TPLF/Woyane. Regardless of the intention to unity, why does one think Amharic language is a number one problem? The answer is simple: 1) to instigate unnecessary argument between people by talking of unity 2) To keep spreading the same hate of TPLF toward Amhara people.
I just don't get it how much stupid TPLFs are and why they hate others - God created us in his own image. Why hate? Is there a word more evil than evil itself, please? I will use that to TPLFs

Re: Why don't Ethiopia and Eritrea Unite?
Are you saying that Abiye Ahmed spreads cheap propaganda for the EPRDF/TPLF?

This is not an important topic while people are dealing with the Woyanie Tigraians that have been a hurdle to any cooperation.
Ask first where the Woyanie Tigrain leaders are hiding now?
Cooperation and integration of Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia is inevitable that will soon start with economic integration,
but they need time. Ethiopia and Abiy seem to be the right and large nation to anchor all but it needs to clean its own house first. This needs few years.

Re: Why don't Ethiopia and Eritrea Unite?
Ethiopia and Eritrea are United in their fight against terror group tplf, United in developing their economies.
These are two sovereign countries United for growth and prosperity...
Integration is coming soon in the Horn of Africa (Eritrea, Ethiopia & Somalia possibly Djibouti too), just like what we see in the nafta alliance of countries of Canada, USA, Mexico or another example is east Africa block of Uganda Kenya Tanzania...
So like it or not a United front to tackle common issues is coming
All the projects like expanding railroad from massawa to Gonder to Addis to Mogadishu and to Juba that the existence of terror group tplf was hindering will start moving forward ...
Good days are coming for a United Horn of Africa

Re: Why don't Ethiopia and Eritrea Unite?
Well said!!!
Just like Abiy said “Eritrea is on the side of Ethiopia” and it’ll always be as long as we treat and respect each other as brothers and good neighbors.
Tplf was a child of the Lucifer who thought hurting their neighbors was a good thing for them and look how they ended up... tplf burned the neighborhood and the United neighborhood burned it down for ever...
Good days are coming
God bless Dr. Abiy the man of peace

Re: Why don't Ethiopia and Eritrea Unite?
We will work and prosper with the entire nations across Horn of Africa. We will share and defend as a one nation from Sudan to all the way our brothers Somali. Having many nation have more advantages than become one nation. Many nations are good to defend other nations working as one. You can beat your adversaries in diplomacy battle acting as many nations while beat poverty behind working as a single nation with mutual respect and rule of law. That way we all the Horn of Africa nations and nationality will earn respect across the globe. However, making other nations bringing into your fold is the behavior of expansionists and will follow with deadly consequences. Let alone Horn of Africa we have to learn from the world history such as Great Britain today wasn’t small island a century a go. Who would have thought that outcome? Moreover Horn of Africa nations once they solidify the trust and rule of law, we all will share and control from Sudan Red Sea all the way to Somali Indian Ocean. Having a force from all nations of Horn Africa, we be able to earn our share respect, safety, place of trade sea route and security of the region and people.
The way forward is not expansionism but mutual respect, rule of law and stay farsighted like shabia. We have collectively should have vision, farsighted one. Otherwise I see no reasons as long as there is rule of law in place, to work and prosper together. Just like European Union and USA. Different state and government but working and running the world with big vision and cooperation.
Respect and mutual growth!! Let every nations contribute their share.
Let’s see how Eritreans and Eritrea government stand with side of brotherly people of Ethiopia in time of need during diplomatic warfare wedged by Egypt and powerful friends . Eritrea as a nation and government fight along the side of Ethiopians in international diplomacy arenas when lots of nations across the globe watching sideline. Not only that Eritrea signed security agreement with friendly government of Ethiopia.
The benefits of mutual respect offer unlimited trust, peace and growth. We should stick to it. This is not the ዘመነ መሳፍንት:: it is 21st century, the blast of technology which we left way behind, and we should act as such.

Re: Why don't Ethiopia and Eritrea Unite?
It is a good statement, but there are two groups that oppose any integration and unity of the peoples in the Horn of Africa region. The Habeshas and Oromos will never accept or want peace in Horn of Africa region. They do not agree with each other and do not want peace for others
Re: Why don't Ethiopia and Eritrea Unite?
The US sponsored federation between Ethiopia and Eritrea triggered a 30 year war when Ethiopia annexed the strategic Red Sea territory. Let's see what United Arab Emirates and the Oromo Arabs will bring
Re: Why don't Ethiopia and Eritrea Unite?
The people of two countries do not see the problem of the unity of the two countries. But the problem is that Ahmaras in Ethiopia and Tigrayans in Ethiopia and Eritrea cannot reconcile and live in peace and harmony together, as well as the problems and war crimes committed against the Eritrean people. The finest must apologize to the people of Eritrea and others who were colonized by the Amharas. The only people who are against this idea are Ethiopia's Oromo because they believe it is against their goal to leave Ethiopia and establish the independent Oromo Kingdom.

Re: Why don't Ethiopia and Eritrea Unite?
How would you know what the people of the 2 countries don't see as a problem? Did you hold a referendum on it? Did you have a poll in which people voted for what they felt? if so, where's the proof that you did such a thing? Who elected you to speak on behalf of the ethiopian and eritrean people?Yakume wrote: ↑04 Dec 2020, 03:57The people of two countries do not see the problem of the unity of the two countries. If we Oromo's want to remain, or stay, it's frankly NONE of your business and you have NO SAY in the matter.
Your entire post is based on YOUR personal feelings and has NOTHING to do with how the peoples of those two countries feel: but keep lying, if that makes you feel better about projecting your beliefs onto others. Sounds dictatorship like, to me.
