My First Touching Point To What Tigray Means

Post by DefendTheTruth » 29 Nov 2020, 15:19

As i was young and it really didn't matter much about who is from where and we all were singing "as long as you love me, I don't care where you are from, who you are, what you do..." of the Bad-street boys hit, my first personal encounter with something Tigray was Kiros Alemayehu's music, to which I danced with my school mates and had fun with.

During those days, it was enough for us to have fun, we cared less about the rest and enjoyed the companion of each other, didn't matter, if you are from extreme north, or extreme south, east or west. If I have to confess, it was only a certain Goje guy, who more or less kept tormenting me with his mockery of my Amharic slang. If I may happen to meet that guy again, then I will certainly give him a slap in the face, because I do carry the wounds from those days till now with me.
