My take is, brother, that it wants to internationalize the issue knowing "the world" jumps at attention when Eritrea is mentioned and ready to pounce at it for the flimsiest of excuses. The UAE, because the junta feels its presence in Assab has helped Eritrea get rid of the sanctions- & its money has helped both govts (Eri & Ethio) weather economic storms.

Here are my thoughts:

1) Tplf has always see they are inferior to Ertrians. Thus, any defeat by Ertrians is OK for them

2) Tplf hate Amhara out of inferiority complex and it was very sad that their cause to wage a war was out of inferiority complex. Thus, it would be painful for them to accept defeat by the very people they hate to the bottom of their ar@z

3) Brave Amhara fighters dismantled them within hours and thus they feel the heat and the agony of humiliation of this scale. Thus, they try to deflect from this

Here, there is no magic for amharas. It is just that they are bitter and determined to fight tplf. One thing for sure is that they are sharp shooters and wanted to die for the cause, hence they charge and move quicker to the enemy positions disloging them and attacking them left and right.

The narrative of TPLF to Tigrayans in General is that Tegaru are better than Amhara in all regards which includes battles. The whole Tegaru felt this as a universal truth. But the reality is different. TPLF under beher behereseboch (federalism) made sure that the amhara is isolated in every aspect. They went as far as claiming iconic figures like teodros, menilik, belay-zeleke as non-amharas. It was a tactical move to make Amharas docile. The medias will report it some day that over 20 thousand tigrayan militia is dead in the western front where their corpse was on the open air stinking a wide area. TPLF can not and will not tell this to its people because it goes against what they have preached. Hence, they refuse to acknowledge this fact. But the Tigray militia clearly knows this fact. Infact, in shire and axum tigrayans heard the amhara militia is coming and they were scared to death.

I think its a mix of what zmeselo and misraq said. The first and foremost is that they've been telling themselves they're all powerful and defeated derg etc etc. Forgetting their true place, for 20 years they kept saying this and began to believe their own lies like misraq said. So involving eritrea not only attempts to internationalize the fighting in order to bringing in the UN to stop it, it also soothes their shattered moral when they see themselves being defeated so quickly by the Amharas and ENDF. I mean almost all of Tigray was taken in a matter of 2 weeks! And this is what PMAA doing his best to not harm Tegaru civilians. The TPLF is absolutely pathetic of course Eritreans have known this for a long time glad to see Ethiopians proving it to the TPLF

Anyone remember when Getachew said if war breaks out they will end in Addis?
