In Ethiopia, the two main competing nationalisms are Amharanet and Oromummaa. From 1270 until now, Amharanet is ďominating and it is almost equivalent to Ethiopiawinet. That is why Amhara elites are trading with this name Ethiopiawinet and they could decieve some non-Amhara elites. Such decieved elites don’t comprehend that they are serving Amharanet, when struggling for Ethiopiawinet. Oromo elites in OPP led by Dr. Abiy belong to such decieved servants of Amharanet. They are very comfortable by keeping the ongoing domination of Amharigna in federal institutions and by reducing Oromiffaa to second level. They betrayed Oromummaa and the Oromo struggle, which was to promote Oromiffaa to primary position in the federation. As long as most elites in Ethiopia are serving Amharanet and as far as Amharigna is the primary working language of the federation, the Oromo, which is the majority, is simply reduced to minority position. Then, surely the struggle will continue till we will achieve an independent Gadaa Oromia as planned by the OLF or an integrative Great Oromia (Ethiopia led by Oromummaa replacing Ethiopia dominated by Amharanet) as envisioned by the OFC.

How can it be that when a majority group of supposedly intelligent folks who speak a particular language, Afan Oromo agree – and they are wrong? The answer is simple: Such kind of Ethnic affiliations are the perfect breeding ground for groupthink. Minority TPLF subscribed to it to loot and stay in power. OLF lost following that prescription because it didn't have to go that route but, still don't get it. Even Abiy's "Oromuma" which is a smarter route is questioned today.

Groupthink according to Wikipedia is: “a psychological phenomenon that occurs within groups of people…. Group members try to minimize conflict and reach a consensus decision without critical evaluation of alternative ideas and viewpoints.”

Groupthink plays a material role in genocides as what is happening in our country against Amharas today. What did they do except contribute in saving Ethiopia's culture and territory from colonialism. For having an indigenous written language that kept records can't be a crime? Can it?

Before few weeks, you were writting about going to fight against what you dubbed "Amharanet" but in this post you seem to be in terms with your current fate and only express your dissatisfaction with the status quo. You are entitled to fight to change the status quo but then again don't make false claims like the one I highlighted in red, it only hurts your fight, if it was indeed genuine and exposes your lack of self confidence in what you are claiming.

Is it genuine ?

OLFist which turned OPFist only recently can't fight to make the condition in Ethiopia better while being commenced to liberate itself from the same Ethiopia? If this proposition is fair enough, then why keep lacking a clear vision?

Of course society needs both group thinking and individual thinking. How else can you organize individuals as an effective group and even send them to do some very important talks like fighting and winning enemies? Ethiopians have always been individuals and groups through out even during the wars against Italians and other invading armies but yet go , fought and defeated their common enemies. As a matter of fact amharas can always be Amharas, Oromos can be Oromos, Somalis can be Somalis, etc. while at the same also think of the country as a whole and become Ethiopians together. Each one of the nations and nationalities of Ethiopia can be nationalists just like many of the worlds multinational states with individual thinking and group thinking which in fact is the source positive diversity and positive unity.

Be careful of fake diagnosis which may lead to fake prescription. The sources of the conflict is not due to groupthink or individual think as some people prefer to sing but due to the unequal distribution of power and monopolization of scarce resources for self enrichment leading to greed and the monopolization of own and others' resources.

The bitter truth about the tplf is a case in point as it started right from the start in the monopolization of state power through the total control of the military and security apparatuses and then used it for complete control of the country's economy, though coming from some 5-6%% home base. That why some people say GREED KILLED THE TPLF, not your fake Groupthink dimwitted empty bragging.

If you consider yourself as human, humans being gregarious animals means that they exercise both individual and group thinking already by nature in order to survive, have control over their environment and grow in unity within diversity. It is so easy to ask small people as to why they don't have clear vision at a time when the chest pumping tplf who have been constantly shouting about its omnipotence, omnipresence and is indomitable etc.? some times tplf says that it will soon declare independence, next time it says that it wants to go back and rule over Ethiopia with the help of Qeerroo Oromo and through that save Mamma Ethiopia, at other times it shouts, down, down Ethiopia, long live Abay Tigray, etc. etc.
So how can this person have clear vision when the relatively biger fish lack complete clear vision other than staring at the green bank note with accurate precision?

Why is it then Tigrayan majority in the diaspora or in this forum don't come out against the "TPLF Greed"?

I am not saying folks should shy away from their primary language affiliation but, why extend it beyond the immediate vicinity of their neck of the woods?

I am from AA and speak Amharic as a first language; there is no reason I should try to affiliate with Gondare/Wolloye/Gojame Amharic speaker in a special groupthink mentality; it is ridiculous! My affiliation is likely closer to an urban Amharic/Tigrigna speaker of Asmara! or Adere/Amharic speaker of Harar because they live in a large city. Off course, Shoan Oromo, Gurage and others are given affiliates because we live in the same vicinity and have a lot in common like celebrating Ereecha/Meskel.

Do you see what I mean? What does Tuluma of Shoa has to do with Wellega Oromo except language and being Ethiopian?
