I actually think that Debretsion is a victim. It was the moron Getachew Asseffa who had force them all to follow him to Hell. What you have stated makes a lot of sense. I guess you have been right all along. If they steal something and you tell them to give it back they would reply to you that the thing is theirs. They are tribal people with twisted brain.

This Debrezion appears as someone innocent placed there to carry out instructions from others but as you put it he is of the tribe with evil traits. He is one of them and like them.
