The conflict pits Ethiopian government forces and allied militia against troops loyal to the Tigray People’s Liberation Front, which is the ruling party of the Tigray region. Catalonia is economically powerful compared with Spain and on top of that it has a very long sea shore on the Mediterranean sea. On the contrary Tigray is double landlocked. It is has no sea outlet.
