☮️☮️☮️☮️☮️ ✌ Sweeter Than Honey, Better Than Gold ✌ ☮️☮️☮️☮️☮️

On January of 2018, when President Isaias Afewerki issued the now-famous "Game Over" decree to announce the overthrow of the TPLF regime, which took place 4 month later in April, the Eritrean president's long term goal of stabilizing the Horn of Africa region also called for the overthrow of the spineless Bashir regime in the Sudan one year later in April of 2019, thus preventing Turkey from setting up a military base in Sudan.

Bashir's ouster served two main objectives: First, it brought Sudan into the fold, and second, it sealed off the only escape route for the TPLF holed up At Axum Hotel in Mekelle. Those who know the game of Chess know what I'm talking about.

A retrospective analysis on events that took place during the last 2 years reveal that, had President Isaias not removed Bashir from power, things would have been more complicated today for both Eritrea and Ethiopia in their quest to stabilize the region, as regional bad actors and outside interference would have posed additional challenges. That is called vision. The efforts made by both Eritrea and Ethiopia in keeping Sudan under their collective sphere of influence paid a huge foreign policy dividends when needed, especially in denying the TPLF terrorist group free access to the Sudan to import weapons from Egypt, Turkey and Qatar-- countries that stand to benefit most from the destabilization of the Horn region.

Imagine this. Suppose it is the year 2015, and the TPLF and Egypt go to the White House seeking mediation to resolve the Nile water dispute. Then the US president sides with Egypt and presents a recommendation that is not favorable to Ethiopia. In such scenario, the TPLF would have immediately demolished the dam citing false environmental or ecological concerns, to the bewilderment of the Ethiopian people.

Luckily, those days of servitude are gone, and gone for good, as Ethiopia today asserts it's just and rightful place in African and global affairs by learning to stand on its own two feet. The proud people have finally found a leader who espouses the moral values, beliefs, ethics and principles found across a great diversity of Ethiopian cultures. A nation at peace with itself is at peace with its neighbors, for peace is the cornerstone of every nation's development, trade, investment and prosperity.

A lot of sacrifices has been made to bring the peace that Ethiopians are fighting today to preserve by eliminating the anti peace elements that held the country hostage for 3 decades. A hard-earned peace is worth preserving. When the northern command of the Ethiopian Defense Forces was back-stabbed, ambushed and attacked by the TPLF terrorists within its ranks, it was the Amhara Special Forces that quickly came to the rescue and fought hard to liberate the territories that have not known peace for decades. The peace earned by the blood and sweat of the brave soldiers will be fiercely defended in every square inch of Ethiopian territory for generations to come.

Peace!

Eritrea's main concern has always been any of its neighbors becoming instruments of global powers to threaten its vision of bringing Africans together for a common cause and propose to making the African continent united, strong and free. With the servile TPLF, Sudan's Bashir, and Somalia's Abdulahi Yusef gone from the scene, the days are near when every vision will be fulfilled.
