Amnesty: "TPLF must make clear to their forces and their supporters that deliberate attacks on civilians are war crimes"

Post by jennifer » 12 Nov 2020, 16:23

“TPLF commanders and officials must make clear to their forces and their supporters that deliberate attacks on civilians are absolutely prohibited and constitute war crimes. All parties in the Tigray conflict must ensure full respect for international humanitarian law and human rights law in their operations. The safety and protection of civilians must be paramount.”

This is shoking report. To my knowledge, EPLF and TPLF do not have history of civilian massacre.
What is the world coming to? such atrocities by one against his own brother. We all must denounce this. Even war has rules.

eden lol why do you associate tplf and eplf as if they are the same or as if they are the topic of this post? even when they fought the ''dergi,'' they had their differences of opinions and tensions, and the tplf is well known for killing civilians, just ask us oromos, the somalis, and others in ethiopia. :D

edu ሳሕሳሕ ዓጋመ፡ stop placing the EPLF, our genuine independence fighters, with your criminal Weyane thugs who are known backstabbers, liars, and thieves. More importantly, they will always be known as the worst enemy of the Eritrean people and would be treated as such. Believe it sh!t head! ጋዕጋዕ ዑጉም!

Sadacha,

Google MaiHabar. I'm not absolving the two from past wrong doing but this report is a whole another level. I was just referring to the record of the two during the struggle days.

This is, his precise question! Why mention the EPLF, at all? You should bow low, with ur forehead touching the ground everytime you think of EPLF- ጉኑፍቲ!

May the Lord soon show us, THE END of you lizards! Amen!

Zemeslo

I mention both because they are examples of two organizations that do not use civilian massacre for their end. That's why this report is shoking and should be condemned universally.

May be you are talking about another TPLF but the TPLF we Etihopians know is well known for massacring civilians in many parts of Ethiopia from Addis Ababa to Gambella to Amhara to South, Somali, Oromia etc.

The evidence for this war crime is very strong.

I'll answer your question Sadacha Macca, have you ever heard of the term "reflected glory"?

fame or approval achieved through association with someone else rather than through one's own efforts.

More on this:

BIRGing has connections to social identity theory, which explains how self-esteem and self-evaluation can be enhanced by the identification with another person's success by basking in reflected glory not earned (The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language: Fourth Edition, 2000).

In short, TPLF has always been a miserable, and short sighted collection of morons with a massive inferiority complex and practically no self-esteem. So they cling to their betters in the hopes that they can be like the EPLF or the rest of Ethiopia. I think looking at it like this helps one understand why some of them here are constantly begging Oromos, Somalis or other Ethiopians to do their fighting for them. Even now they're begging Eritreans to help them fight Ethiopia
