The Abiy administration is fortifying its position and gearing up for the inevitable confrontation with TPLF militia. Reports are indicating that the newly establishing divisions are to be equipped with the most advanced armaments and the most qualified military personnel. The area of operation is said to be North western Ethiopia from WelQait-Humera to Bahirdar, the corridor which is most used by TPLF to smuggle fire arms and export terror to other regions. Operation choke-up is heating up.

I understand the frustrations....however, it appears that the PM is trying to contain TPLF quarantined as long as possible for eventual submission and coming to the negotiation table on the PM's terms if it works out or, to suffocate and implode it or lure TPLF to start the first shot to hard hit from all sides swiftly to deny the supposed infiltrators any meaningful sabotage.

To add complications to the matter, the PM doesn't seem to be comfortable empowering Ethiopianist forces to lead the military....for reasons of keeping the power at the hands of Oromo for as long as he could. I don't know what two tier citizenship that you are talking about is like...however, I do know and am living thru a system of discrimination that is totally based on identity for anyone to qualify almost for anything in that country. You had to be a Tigrean to be considered a full-fledged citizen just a few two years ago and now you have to be Oromo to be treated the way any human being is treated in one's own country.
