Is the word "bedho" a verb or a noun?
Any knowledgable folks about this ? I thought it is used to explain some sort of hardship or challenge but I couldn't find it in Tigrigna dictionary

Thanks for your reply Tarik, is bedho a place in northern Eritrea? A road, a mountain or may be a trench? Which makes it a noun, or is it a common Tigrigna verb or adjective? By the way Zemach's revolutionary song is one of the best.

Kerenait,,,I understand it is often used to Express a sense of challenge, like Zemach's figurative lyrics, the same can be said about Ephrem Amare's video music 'Rora' which is a name given to a maintain(chains) in Eritrea....think about 'Rora habab' or 'Rora mensaE', again I think 'bedho' is not a verb one can say 'bediheyo' ,'bedhiyo or bedihemo' etc..yet I stand corrected.
Re: Is the word "bedho" a verb or a noun?
There are many Tigrigna words the Eritreans are adding, some for the better and some for the worst. These days, they can not even write in Tigrigna, except those who are above 50 years of age,not all. There are heroes like Antsar Hgdef.I don’t know if he is an individual or a group,I want to contribute moneyhorn fighter wrote: ↑19 Oct 2020, 04:19Any knowledgable folks about this ? Degnet....Eritreans adding liberation era slang and phrases in to formal Tigrigna is one thing and Ethiopians (Tegaru) mimicking them without knowing the meaning and origin of those expressions is another thing. Be it artists or politicians

Degnet, another good example is the phrase 'mewl' Tegaru artists think it means 'sponsor ' and use it as such in their lyrics while it is abbreviation for an Eritrean institution 'medeb whlelan leqahn'.
