The Egyptian are trying to slow the construction of the dam, but will never dare to bomb it, hoping that Nile will flow to the desert of Egypt as it did for centuries. They are not that stupid. Ethiopia has many ways of using the dam ; the construction of the dam is one of them.
As for USA siding with Egypt, I do not bet on it.

Ethiopians shouldn't be worried about the useless Egyptian army, to stay relevant, the Egyptian army is known to make some Teret Teret from time to time. There was a time, they claimed, they invented HIV, hepatit c and many other uncurable diseases.
