ብዙ ጊዜ ከዚህ ፎረም ላይ በተለይ ኤርትራዊያን ትግሬዎችን የሚሸነቁጡበት ቃላት ነው። ምስጢሩ ቢገባኝ መልካም ስለመሰለኝ ነው እንጅ እኔም ለመሳደብ ፈልጌ አይደለም።

Thank you both! You guys gave me, I would say, clear meaning about the name Agame. I know an Awuraja that goes by this name. In modern days it sounds like a derogatory name, just like using N word. Now, I can see that why Mereja forum deleted the word out. I think what Ethiopians need is a revolution in thought and content of the quality of character not name change - changing names will not the quality of the characters. The quality of the character is determined by the content of their cultural traits. Bad and hurtful customs have be transformed into viable and useful assets. Cultural values such as the people of Agame labelled being traitors or the Gala being barbaric male genital harvesters or violent should not undermine the greater good of humanity. Let the big picture be getting people of such roots out of the bondage of harmful thinking and practices.
