In the first phase of the filling the water level will be raised to 560m and this is enough to test and generate electricity with the two turbines.
When the dam is completed it will generate electricity at full capacity, 6000 MW with 16 turbines. For now only 2 turbines, will start generating power.

Look at how Egypt is so Greedy,

Egypt's Aswan High Dam Reservoir (AHDR) is so big that it has a storage capacity is 162 billion m3. With this much water in its dam, Egypt can satisfy all of its water demands (irrigation, consumption , fishing, navigation ....) for 3 full years without any water shortage even if there is no single drop of water flows from blue Nile and white Nile into its dams. Mind you, there are many other rivers that carry water to AHDR

If Egypt can handle for 3 solid years without any water shortage, why does it complain if we block the Blue Nile for 2 -3 months to fill our GERD?

Egypt's greediness has no limit!!
