Official or not official , due to heavy rains or intentional, satellite images reveal that the GERD is being filled with water and the volume of water is swelling! This is a victory for PM Abiy and for the Ethiopian people. Both Egypt and Sudan know very well that Ethiopia has build them a water reservoir and they will equally benefit from GERD. All the noise from Egypt was to advance it's "zero sum water share agreement" which PM Abiy has successfully resisted. Now PM Abiy has to focus on the internal politics of Ethiopia and involve all key stakeholders and come up with a road map on how to move the country forward. He has to release all political prisoners and open genuine discussion forum ( from zero draft) among all political parties with the objective of charting out a shared road map where and how to move the country forward. That will save the country from civil war!
