There are people who argue the picture clearly describes what happened regarding the singer’s death. Let the investigation runs its course, and we will know for sure what really happened. But the picture describes one unvarnished truth: “ terarawen yanketekete tewled” is no more in fighting mood. In fact , it is not even in calling a mass rally mood. Guys , do you remember a few months after Abiy became prime minister there was demonstration in Mekele. Frankly now , I do not remember the purpose of that demonstration.
But today , Abiy has a history about his premiership. If the TPLF politicians think the Mekele residents are against the Abiy’s administration ‘s politics and policy , now is the right time to call mass rally. But they do not. They practically written off Tigreans as political force. Now, they are more Oromo than Bekele Gerba. Or that is a misleading statement. The picture depicted says it is.
