Horus , I disagree with you. There was no call by Oromos for insurrection, or civil unrest whatever you call it. We fall to the TPLF trap if we equate Jawar and company tantamount with Oromos in general. A few extremists might have called demonstration, but those who organize the mass rally and participate in it could not constitute .000000001 percent of the Oromo population. The great majority of Oromos have family to feed, kids to send to school, the Jawar kind of politics is not something they are consumed about. Even the Abiy administration has exaggerated the influence they might have.
I am encouraged however by the speech given from the prime minister’s office today. Abiy clearly has drawn a line extremists should not cross: Ethiopia is more than political parties tribal or otherwise. The extremists have no choice but to ran for their lives , forget about their insurrection. Ethiopia is at war with the extremists. As the leader Abiy has to lead the war against them.

I know your idol Birr-Amtu Ahun Say-Nega is one of the advisors of dictator Abiy, who is leading Ethiopia down to abyss, as an accomplice. Being a disciple of Birr Aamtu Nega, I do not expect you to accept the truth which does not fit to your agenda and Nega's talking points. If the people are with dictator Abiy, he wouldn't have postponed the election by finding different pretexts. He knew that with the exception of few 'Hod-Aders' and past criminal thugs, the majority of the Ethiopian people do not support him. Thus, my new Abiy/Birr Amtu cadre, the war will be Abiy and his henchmen versus the people. It is suspected that the new dictatorship orchestrated a series of assassinations of high profile people (Seare, Hacahlu, Ambachew, Asaminew, Semegnew) to implicate and silence its opponents and strengthen its grip on power. Also I reinforced my belief, after I discovered power-monger elites such as Birr Ahun Amtu Say Nega not only allied with Shabia but also accepted money from Egypt to promote their power mongering agenda, irrespective of Ethiopia's national interest. Dictator Abiy is also another traitor who ate with two knives to fulfill his ego of becoming the seventh king. At a time from the cadres of the new Bligna party to ex-Derg members to Shabia war criminals, from merkato street rogues, to diaspora hate mongering media such as the likes of ESAT have been campaigning hate and genocide against the Tigray people, I believe TPLF, with all its flaws the most experienced and viable institution to defend my folks. That is the problem the TPLF politicians and their cadres have : believing their self-created assumption as facts. You brought in Birhanu Nega to the discussion. You claimed I was a disciple of him. . Well, I have news for you. I am a well-read person, who is very confident in understanding Ethiopian politics, and more than that to a reasonable degree world politics. I am not a person to be brainwashed as you have implied. You said you are a " proud Tigrean," but not a TPLF member. But I found your sharing the same vocabulary "neftegna" with the TPLF politicians not concidential. My cadre friend are you trying to tell me the whole Tigreans have stopped using the word Amhara ? Back to Birhanu Nega. I know him as the Ethiopians who know him come to know him -- through the media. Since the TPLF politicians and you are consumed by him you probably know him better than I do , assuming we all know him through the media.
I however knew his older sister who used to be a classmate of Meles Zenawi. She was in the same area with my friend during " EDGET BEHBRET ZEMACHA." That was How I came to know her. She lost her life fighting against the Derg.

When Abiy came to power, he had a wider support among the Ethiopian people, from Mekele to Moyale, Adama to Jima, Addis Abeba to Bale Roba, Gonder to Harar, and so on. At that time the Ethiopian people thought that Abiy was a true reformer and Mandela style peace maker. Alas, he squandered his opportunity of uniting and reconciling Ethiopians.It didn't take much time for the people to realize that Abiy is a psychopath and egoistic con man, who is only interested in strengthening his grip to his one man rule. His rhetoric and speeches are not authentic and principle-based, but fluctuate with the wind and depending on who the audience is. Not after so long, he unleashed his dogs of war to perpetuate his power grip unchecked, under the guise of Ethiopian unity. He is taking Ethiopia in to the abyss. Under his watch, Ethiopia is experiencing the worst kind of atrocious inter-ethnic violence due to either his incompetence or deliberate acts of his squads, foolishly believing that he will thrive from chaos. The struggle will be the various Ethiopian regions (nations and nationalities and not tribes) vis-a-vis Abiy and his cohorts and death squads.
