The reasons that the noble prize of Abiy should be rescinded according to Yakume are he is a young and inexperienced leader. The noble committee members who awarded him the prize knew he is young and inexperienced. Yakume also said Abiy is insecure and delusion prone. I do not think the noble committee members consider themselves as physiologists who read the mind of others. They are pragmatists in most part. They do know who should deserve the award way more than a tribal political cadre does. As for he is being insecure and delusion prone, it is an opinion of Yakume . The majority of Ethiopians however see in Abiy a leader who is secured but careful , believing a peaceful way of conducting politics should be given priority. Recently Abiy seemed to believe his being chosen the peaceful way was misinterpreted. Abiy got that prize because of his fake claim as an Arab, support from Arab countries (United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia) and also the deal with Shabea to help him with security against Kilil Tigray and Tigray people. We know the persons and governments who nominated Colonel Abiy Ahmed. According to you, both colonels Mengisty Haile Mariam and Abiy Ahmed Ali who are from Jimma deserve the Nobel Prize, which is wrong. It was premature and wrong to award the noble prize to Abiy for the following reasons:
- He was one of the EPRDF intelligence high level officials that was suffocating democracy and spying individual both in the country and out of the country
- The so called peace deal with Eritirea was not transparent and was only drama.
The prize was given to him as a pre-deposit payment for :
(1)What he promised to the Western countries that he will liberalize the economy of Ethiopia and will curtail the influence of the China while opening the country to the Western Countries
(2) His promise to protect Egypts historical share from the Nile and opening up the economy of Ethiopia for the Arabs.
I am personally happy that he got the award even though he doesn't deserve it!
