Dear Sabur: You are claiming that Idris Abu Aar're was imprisoned, share your evidence about his imprisonment

If you are honest, tell us how you knew Idris was imprisoned. I don't know anything about Idris Abu Aar're. Tell us which of "the Truth" about Idris that you know that I buried. Show us the evidence that I am the mouthpiece of President Issaias Afwerki. I want to inform you that you are not telling the truth about these three cases. I am asking you to share your knowledge about any one you claim is imprisoned, and the best knowledge is something proven to be true. Otherwise, I am not going to trust you.

YAY: Again your futile attempt to bury the Truth and defend Isayas the dictator is really Pathetic.

Since you seem to be the mouthpiece of the dictator Isayas, can you please tell us why "Idris Abu Are" was imprisoned?
What crime did he commit?

The list of Eritreans imprisoned that you deny by the Dictator Isayas that you worship is long, and Eritreans will continue to demand justice for them no matter how long it takes.

And no one will be surprised by the claim you like to espouse "that no one was imprisoned because he/she did not agree with the Dictator's One Man Rule Policy" .

Go ahead with the routine and rotten diatribe to defend the indefensible acts of the Dictator Isayas.

Dear MerHano: Don't repeat the same behavior all over again

What am I right about? You didn't say. Your repeated behavior is expecting others to take your statements as facts without you proving them true. You want me to support somebody without knowing what (s)he did: without any evidence showing if (s)he is innocent or criminal. Stop expecting me to trust you. You need to have documented evidence to prove every statement you made:
1. nobody has his day in court;
2. [once] they are arrested, they are held incommunicado;
3. Even the criminal leader knows it is indefensible;
4. cannot say these people are found guilty;
5. In Eritrea, whoever’s accused by the government, is immediately considered guilty;
6. nobody knows how long or how harsh is the penalty; and
7. [some] are denied their rights and incarcerated for decades

Yes, you are the mouthpiece of the Dictator when you bluntly deny the "Imprisonment of former EPLF Members" the same way the dictator did denying the Imprisonment of Joshua.

He bluntly said that he never met Joshua and he does not know him when a picture shows of both together. Now you want to send the hot potato over to the others.

No surprise by your denial about the Imprisonment of "Idris Abu Are" and other EPLF members.

Dear MerHano and Sabur: Talk about the imprisoned and the disappeared

Why are you evading telling the facts you know about those who were allegedly imprisoned or made to disappear, if you know? What is so hard about telling the simple truth? You do not need to deflect the primary issue by saying all kinds of unnecessary statements, or assuming that everybody knows about the imprisoned; and, therefore, no one has the right to ask you to share the facts that you know about the allegedly imprisoned or made to disappear. I sense no honesty from both of you: if you don't know, you've got to say you don't know, but if you claim you know about them, just simply state the facts. Take note: I am also testing you: Talk about those you claim you stand to defend the rights of. If you own the facts you might have good case(s), if not you lost your case(s). No facts, no justice to win. I believe each member of the public following us is waiting to make an assessment on what you would say.

what people like YAY are saying is these citizens are on extended vacation for the service they gave to the Eritrean people.
They willingly chose to be ignorant of the crimes perpetrated on the people of Eritrea by their demigod Issias Afeworki.
And for one reason or another, they get some gratification in their futile effort to hide the truth the whole people know.

Dear YAY, be a man and say I support their imprisonment, what ever my demigod does, should be correct. Otherwise discussing anything intellectually with you, will be impossible.

Dear Kerenite: Are you saying that any accusation made ought to be accepted as true without scrutiny?

Thank you for sharing something you know about the imprisonment of Idris Mohamed Aali and the information you said was shared by his wife. Please bear with me for asking a question in search of furthering the truth: Do you have any other witness or information that confirms that his wife was speaking the truth? Thank you also for informing us that somebody related to the imprisoned person (his wife) was allowed (I assume by authorities) to visit the imprisoned person. Some people claim that the imprisoned citizens are kept incommunicado. Do you know of anyone who knows if, certainly, Idris M. Aali's wife were allowed to visit her husband ?

Now, let us see what logic you are speaking about. You said,
According to your analogy the poor victim who is incarcerated is responsible to tell us why he is incarcerated. Does it make sense????
What I said is this: If some one claims that a person was detained/arrested/jailed/imprisoned, let the claimant share what (s)he knows. Like you shared some information about Idris Mohamed Aali, as shared by his wife. That tells all of us that you are not talking out of the blue, we as members of society shall build on it or refute the story as so far known to us. I did not say the victim (the imprisoned?) "is responsible to tell us why he is incarcerated," but I would also ask him/her (the imprisoned) to share whatever facts (s)he knows---for (s)he may/may not know the reason why. The whole truth would certainly not be known without information shared by the jailer(s), decision-maker(s), courts, etc., if any. The logic/analogy doesn't make sense because it was based on your wrong assumptions, and not based on what I actually said.

I'll give you credit for the piece of information you shared, true or false or partially of both. It is not complete, but that gives any one a starting point. You are not saying that any accusation claimed should be accepted as true, without scrutiny or farther investigation, are you? What is it that you say ought to be done, and by whom, about Idris M. Aali, etc. and why?

Dear yay,

What for fuucked up logic are you are applying??????????

According to your analogy the poor victim who is incarcerated is responsible to tell us why he is incarcerated. Does it make sense????

Just a simple example, the wife of the famous imprisoned singer idris mohamed ali visited him ones years back and that was the only time she was allowed to.

Let's hear it from the horse's mouth. She shared with everyone then that her husband has no clue why he was brought to such prison. Nobody told him why.
He never ever was brought to a court of law and you have the audacity to tell us that he should prove his cause. Don't you think it is hgdef's responsibility to clear it up??????

What for a foocked up logic is that???????

Merhano and kerenite:

This exactly how the boot and arse lickers of the dictator like YAY play. They follow his orders obediently to lie, confuse, and eventually deny the crimes committed by the dictator as the TIME goes.

The dictator is very known to using TIME in attempt to erase the true history. He plays Time that is on his side that he would use TIME for his benefit to eventually deny the crimes he committed against Eritreans. He used TIME after he killed the so called Menkae movement to erase from the memories.

Now his boot lickers like YAY are following the same tactic of TIME as ordered denying if any Former EPLF member has ever been arrested by the dictator.

Now after 20 years they arrived to openly deny the imprisonment of any EPLF member by the dictator. And they throw that hot potato on to others by saying prove to me if they were ever arrested as claimant.

These paid cadres like YAY are very dangerous in their day in day out attempt to confuse gullible Eritreans into believing them and erase the crimes Isayas committed from memory.

They have no qualms with lying, whatever the cost to Eritrea and the people of Eritrea may be, as long as they protect their master the dictator Isayas.

The people of Eritrea, however, is tired of this old rotten game used by the dictator and his CADRES and will continue to demand justice in Eritrea.

The whole truth would certainly not be known without information shared by the jailer(s), decision-maker(s), courts, etc., if any. The logic/analogy doesn't make sense because it was based on your wrong assumption, and not based on what I actually said.

I'll give you credit for the piece of information you shared, true or false or partially both. It is not complete, but that gives any one a starting point. You are not saying that any accusation claimed should be accepted as true, without scrutiny or farther investigation, are you? What is it that you say ought to be done, and by whom, about Idris M. Aali, etc. and why?

That was the response which I expected.

The commonly applied higdefites stance is to push any eri who opposes the mafia regime to the defensive position. No! Mr. Higdef enabler.

The burden is on your hgdef to prove as to why he and other eri patriots are imprisoned.

Please do me a favour. You as an educated person do not pose childish questions such as:

Were there witnesses when the wife of idris visited hjim? When and what time was it? Should we take what she said at face value? Wezete...what for focked up interrogation is that??????

Don't try to sound as a scandinavian. Man! You have a focked up system in eritrea.

Yay,

When there is no transparency you can play see no evil hear no evil. It is the government that needs to come out clean and clear the misunderstanding if there is any. Otherwise, the accusation stands.

Dear Aurora: Which accusation stands based on what---lies?

The demand for better Government transparency is a valid question in peace times. However, no accusation whatsoever should stand as valid without any facts. And the accuser ought to share knowledge publicly on matters that concern the public. Do you support accusations based on truths or lies? You've got to choose. Is your choice for accusations to stand based on lies?

Yay, when relatives can not visit their loved ones for years behind bars , then accusations gain merit. Transparency is terribly lacking. It is a kind of in your face thing to the public. When change comes, don't be surprised what you are going to witness. It has happened over and over again. It is not the opposition that is refusing to work with the government, It is the government that spits on the face of the opposition. Isayas told the youth of Eritrea in plain language, if you want democracy, move on where democracy is practiced. The whole world understands the Eritrean government except some Eritreans who defy logic and support it. It is nothing new. It has happened somewhere in the world over and over again. Time is squandered terribly. Some thirty years to be exact. A whole generation of youth is passing.

Dear Kerenite: Asking a question in search of evidence to discover truth is not childish

If you know/or don't know the answer to the question, you would not be in a defensive situation. The solution is to speak out honestly. If you don't know, you say you don't know; and if you know any evidence about any imprisoned or disappeared, you share your knowledge to the public. It is advantageous to do so because that makes us have more faith and trust with each other. Even if we have differences now, we could use the discovered facts as common ground to come together and make decisions based on majority votes. We've got to love truths, and evidence that prove certain facts are true.

I am not calling for the discovery of proven facts and truths as a political partisan, but generally as an Eritrean so that our national society be built with the utmost respect for proven facts and truths. If there were a person(s), other than the prison guards, who witnessed that Idris M. Aali was visited by his wife, even once, that would help all of us establish the fact that he was visited by his wife (no matter who uses that evidence for what purpose). Further investigations could also help us narrow our differences. I believe that such questions are not childish, but rather one means of discovering truths.

That tells all of us that you are not talking out of the blue, we as members of society shall build on or refute the story as so far known to us. I did not say the victim (the imprisoned?) "is responsible to tell us why he is incarcerated," but I would also ask him/her (the imprisoned) to share whatever facts (s)he knows---for (s)he may/may not know the reason why. Dear Justice Seeker, Sabur, MerHano, Kerenite, Aurora: Honesty is Speaking The Plain and Simple Truth

This is a teaching moment for all of us. I am not asking you to stop demanding for the Government of Eritrea to be more transparent or be held accountable. What I am asking you to do is to be honest and have your demands or calls be based on facts and truths. Please take a few minutes and read Frank Sonnenberg's "Honesty: The Plain and Simple Truth" https://www.franksonnenbergonline.com/b ... ple-truth/

Honesty: The Plain and Simple Truth

What would happen if lying were the norm? Spouses wouldn’t be able to trust one another; leaders wouldn’t be credible; and the news would be meaningless. Everything, and I mean everything, depends on honesty. That’s why it’s so critical to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

The truth is . . . we can’t build relationships if we mistrust what friends say; we won’t follow leaders if we mistrust what they do; and we can’t make good decisions if we doubt the accuracy of the information that we receive. Absent truth, instead of taking action, we’d spend our time looking over other people’s shoulders, second-guessing their intent, and unraveling the facts from the falsehoods. The result is that trust is shattered, reputations are damaged, and suspicion rules the day.

So, why do people lie? The reasons are countless. People lie to make themselves look better, steal the credit, cover up poor performance, conceal mistakes, deflect the blame, protect their reputations, and deceive and manipulate people. Regardless of the motive, the ultimate results are the same. As someone once said, “The worst thing about being lied to is knowing you’re not worth the truth.”

The Truth Is Not What It Seems, But What It Is

Dishonesty comes in many shapes and sizes. Of course, some people lie in error, in which they wholeheartedly believe their words when they’re spoken. Others tell bold-faced lies, knowing full well that they’re being deceitful. And still other people tell white lies, hoping to protect someone (often themselves) from the truth. Yet even though some of these folks may be well intentioned, it’s all lying just the same. How do you identify a lie? As a general rule of thumb, if your ears hear one thing and your eyes see another, use your brain — because something is obviously wrong. Here are some common forms of dishonesty that masquerade as acceptable behavior:

Misrepresentation. Distorting facts to consciously mislead or create a false impression. Spinning the truth, presenting opinion as fact, and using revisionist thinking or euphemisms to masquerade the truth are all forms of misrepresentation.

Omission. Leaving out key information to intentionally deceive someone. As Benjamin Franklin said, “Half the truth is often a great lie.”

Fabrication. Deliberately inventing an untruth or spreading a falsehood such as gossip or a rumor.

Exaggeration. Stretching the truth to give a more favorable impression.

Denial. Refusing to acknowledge the truth or to accept responsibility for a mistake or falsehood that was made.

Lack of transparency. Withholding information knowing that full disclosure will have negative consequences.

Redirection. Deflecting blame to another person to prevent personal embarrassment or responsibility.

False recognition. Stealing the credit for someone else’s hard-earned success.

Broken promise. Making a promise with no intention of keeping it.

Cover-up. Protecting the misdeeds of others. Those who provide cover for the misdeeds of others are as guilty as those who perpetrate the “crime.”

Hypocrisy. Saying one thing and consciously doing another. When words don’t match actions, someone is being dishonest with others or themselves.

Bait and switch. Attracting someone with an exciting offer only to divert them to an inferior deal.

Living a lie. Pretending that you are something you’re not.

Any way you cut it, when people distort the truth, they put their credibility at risk, while lowering their personal standards of honesty. Remember, BIG or small . . . a lie is a lie. Furthermore, a lie repeated many times doesn’t change the truth. Additionally, one or many believers don’t determine the truth or untruth. There’s no excuse for dishonesty. None. As someone once said, “The truth doesn’t cost anything, but a lie could cost you everything.”

Honesty: Truth Be Told

The value of honesty cannot be overstated. Every time someone lies, alarm bells aren’t going to go off and that person’s nose isn’t going to get larger (like Pinocchio’s), but something definitely happens. The liar may suspect that the only reason the customer said, “yes” to his proposal, the only way she dodged the blame, and the only reason the recipient of the lie thought highly of him or her was due to the lie itself. The question remains: Even though they fooled someone else, how do liars feel about themselves? The obvious truth is that they thought they didn’t deserve the outcome or else they would have told the truth in the first place. They may explain away the lie by telling themselves that everybody does it or that the lie fell in a gray area. But I must ask you, is that any way to live your life?

When you stand for honesty, you believe in yourself and everything you represent. When you stand for honesty, everything you say carries the voice of credibility. But, when you’re dishonest, your soiled reputation will do the speaking for you.

There are several things you can do to demonstrate honesty:

  • Think before you speak.
  • Say what you mean and mean what you say.
  • Bend over backward to communicate in an open and honest fashion.
  • Simplify your statements so that everyone clearly understands your message.
  • Tell it like it is, rather than sugarcoating it.
  • Present both sides of each issue to engender objectivity.
  • If you have a personal bias or a conflict of interest, make it known.
  • Tell people the rationale behind your decisions so that your intent is understood.
  • If something is misinterpreted, quickly correct the record.
  • Don’t shoot the messenger when someone tells you the truth. Thank them for their honesty and treat the information provided as a gift.
  • Willingly accept responsibility by admitting a mistake or an error in judgment — in a timely fashion.
  • Hold people accountable when their words do not match their actions.
  • Never compromise your integrity and reputation by associating yourself with people whose standards of integrity you mistrust.

The truth shouldn’t be told only when it’s convenient. Honesty must be a way of life. Honesty means that you care deeply about trust, cherish your relationships, and value the importance of a solid reputation. Honesty means that you try to do your best and are willing to accept the consequences of your actions. Honesty means that you respect others enough to tell them the truth and that you value your opinion of yourself enough to never live a lie. As the saying goes, “It’s simple. Never lie to someone who trusts you, and never trust someone who lies to you.” That’s why it’s critical to always tell the truth — or the truth will tell on you. Honest.

Dear Sabur: Stop blaming others, just speak the Truth

I think I know why you are blaming others. It is, I believe, because you don't have the truth to tell with evidence. It is the required evidence that you don't have. That is your problem. If you had evidence, nobody is stopping you from opening our eyes. You could tell it all right now, but I believe you are covering up your empty knowledge (hearsay) with blaming others, who did not stop you from sharing your knowledge. Enough with dishonesty: If you have the evidence, speak the truth with confidence, now.

Honest.

Dear Sabur: End being dishonest. It is obvious

Enough with dishonesty: If you have the evidence, speak the truth with confidence, now. What is your complaint while you are free to tell the truth. Do you think you could advocate for anybody without evidence? You cannot defend any one or win any justice by advocacy without evidence. Stop pretending that you are doing any struggle for justice. You are not.
