According to its media report, Eritrean citizens and Ethiopians of Eritrean origin that are spying for the Eritrean government are all over Ethiopia.

Although this is an media outlet known for its sensational coverages, this particular report has taken the recklessness a whole another level because of the recent history of deportations of tens of thousands of innocent Eritrean families under the guise of national security.

Some argue such outcomes are not possible due to PM Abiy’s positive relationship with Eritrea Government. However, there’s no guarantee the relationship continue to be positive or, worse yet, anti Eritrea elements may come to power.

these people are nothing but a sour puss group that are hell-bent of giving bad names to the Premier of Ethiopia. Because of that, anyone who works with Abey, is designated as an enemy of Ethiopia! LOL! I don't care about Habtamu for he has always been an anti-Eritrean no matter what. However, Ermias is actually stating the opposite of what he used to say about Eritrea and PIA! Now that they have been unceremoniously kicked out of ESAT, they are trying to make a living by the funds collected from some gullible Ethiopian Diasporas by bringing, usually unsubstantiated story, sensationalizing it to the point of idiocy.

They’re reporting the spying is targeted at Ethiopian oppositions, Media outlets and civil society, not on the Ethiopian government.

They insinuating Lidetu (most dangerous PM Abiy opponent) is being harassed by these spies.

They are claiming the spies are being used to effectively serve its (friendly) Ethiopian ruling party because the ruling party doesn’t trust its own security service as it’s infiltrated by Jawar, DebreTsion, Dawd Ibsa and other opposition forces.
