I can not speculate how long the Ethiopian election wii be postponed. But I do say this : the great majority of the Ethiopian opposition parties will lose badly if the election is held today. Addis Abeba is part of Ethiopia, but not Ethiopia. Opposition party politicians to be relevant in Ethiopian politics should move their ... away from Addis and do some work. I agree with Horus the transitional government talking point is worthless to say the least. Just imagine for a second how Lidetu and Jawar could compromise to create a transitional government. Yes,It is almost impossible to imagine.
The very argument that the transitional government proponents could furnish is that their government will be more representative of the interest of Ethiopians. I am not sure of that either.

Definitely. The Lidetu transitional government is a mirage and now one truly boring topic. Here is one idea that is totally out of the context of reality.

Election is not a magic. In the present day Ethiopia, it is a prescription for chaos and political disorder.

Election will both logical and useful for the people and the nation when the number of parties have been reduced to a few viable entities, the curse of killilism and territorialism has been calmed down and after the nation has recovered from the corona calamity.

What is really significant is this: Abiye has hinted that if opposition parties were a few consequential and workable, PP is willing to share power in the interim. This is both very wise, civilized and in good faith.

But as you can see most these socalled opposition leaders are political idiots and fossilized minds habituated to sloganeering rather than engaging in good faith creative problem solving. We shall see.

If you are now turning around and declaring in broad day light under the Sun the impossibility of holding the nice and the joyful election as soon as possible, with the speed of light while the Sun is still shining and the virus eagerly devouring means that all of these power, sweet power, hungry over agitated individuals and parties may feel totally devastated beyond any repair. And you might be demanded to make compensations for their new bitter ill feelings with out mincing any old or new words.

Last but not least the common Ethiopian people will have peace of mind to do their jobs without the power hungry factions agitations and divisive endless barking and rantings from all sides.

Seriously speaking you can not buy people for long with money because money is only a temporary human basic need satisfier alone but not a long term higher need satisfier. That is only in the logic of human needs hierarchy. This means that there must be other more important reward system other than money built in to the relationship on top of money, honey and milk. BINGO! Last but not least I think that all of these opposition groups and individual activists need to cool down and let the government to do their governing job rather than barking day and night and disturbing and obstructing the government from disposing its essential governmental tasks in the middle of mounting adversities.

Supporting PM Abiy's government until set date election will benefit everyone, including the opposition parties.
The four choices presented by government is just to force the opposition to support the government with no option of presenting their own solution/proposition. It is like take it or leave it. Political solution is the only way forward.
All the government should do is reassure the opposition and the Ethiopian people that the election will be held on a mutually agreed time table in exchange for support for the continuation of the current government as a take care government with full required authority. This requires genuine effort from all parties as there is no time for argy-bargy.

በእኔ ግምት ብዙዎቹ ጥቃቅንና የጎሳ ድርጅቶች እየከሱ ይከስማሉ፣ ለምን ቢባል ቢያንስ 4 ምክንያቶች አሉ።

አንድ፣ በስልጣን ላይ ያለው ፓርቲ ሪፎርሚስት ስለሆነ ከሱ የተሻሉ ፓርቲዎች ካልሁኑ በተቀር ማንም ቁም ነገር ብሎ አይሰማቸውም ። ስለዚህ ፖለቲካው በአይነትም በጥራትም ፍክክሩ እጅግ ከፍተን ይሆናል ።

ሁለት፣ በኮሮና ምክንያት የተፈጠረው ለውጥ የኢኮኖሚና የጤንነት ብቻ አይደለም። የሰዎች ሳይኮሎጂና ማህበርዊ አስተሳሰብ ሁሉ እየተለወጠ ነው። የጎሳ ጉንጭ አልፋ ንትርክ እና የስልጣን ፈላጊዎች ስብከት የሚደመጥበት ዘመን እያበቃ ነው ።

ሶስት ፣ እዝቡ ሙሉ ትኩረቱ ወደ እድገት፣ ትምህርት፣ ስራ፣ ትብብር እየዞረ ነው ። ራሱ ክልል ሚለው መፈክር ሁሉ ባዶ እየሆነ ይመጣል

አራት፣ ባጠቃላይ የዘር ፖለቲከ ገዢ የሌለው ችካሽ ሸቀጥ እየሆነ ነው ።

እነዚህና መሰል አዝማሚያዎችን መመርመር የምይችሉ እንደ ልደቱና ጃዋር መሰል ቀፎ ድምጽ ማጉያዎች ናቸው ወደፊት ሚያፍሩ !!

እኔ ደግሜ ደጋግሜ እንዳልኩት የኮሮና መከሰት ይዞት የመጣ ትልቅ አጋጣሚ አለ ። እሱም ቀፎ የጎሳ ፖለቲከኞችን ግዙፍ ቀውስ ውስጥ ከተተ ። ትግሬ ምርጫ ቢካሂድ ባያካሂድ ፋይዳ የለውም ። እነገርባ እነምናምን እንደ ፋንዲያ እየተበታተኑ ነው። ብልጽግናና ተባባሪዎቹ ኢትዮጵያን በብልህነት ምሩ ። ባንድ አመት እንኳን ምርጫ ማዘጋጀት አይቻልም ። እነዚህ ፋንዲያ የጎሳ ቱልቱላ ሁላ ምንም የሚፈይዱት ነገር የለም ።
