Isn’t Ambessa territorial and deadly as well? I think this is not the best argument, however, fight over the animals mascots will not serve best for Ethiopians lol.

If British chose Anbessa, the animal doesn’t exist in England or surrounding, why not this bird to serve Ethiopians? I personally think it is all about superstitious which the mascot “ambessa” get Ethiopia the present states therefore someone said let’s try peacock 🦚 where to get us. I think peacock is elegant bird with attractive. to be honest no one will take the Lions off ethiopia and it won’t hurt to add peacock as Ethiopia mascot. Actually they should paint in Ethiopians airlines tails. People of the world, majority like something exotic animals ...

I wondered if the ET video was showing Jawar maturing? He advised not to change cultural icons but, repair them and leave them alone; he doesn't care of creating such controversy at this moment? OR was he just incensed because Deacon Daniel gave a historical backing of the new Abiy's Ethiopian Palace Peacock logo existing in the 6th century; that is 10 centuries before the Yejju Dynasty became the rulers of Ethiopia. The deacon, advisor of Dr. Abiy may have revealed a religious persuasion and connection of some sort attached to the Peacock? Orthodox/Buddhism and others use the bird as some kind of symbol? Don't they? On the other hand, Habtamu revealing the old Anbesa coming from Bale/Oromia may have scratched Jawar's "kegna" urge to flare up? :~)

Having said that, in the following video Desalegn of Mehal Meda is animated when it comes to Peacok; as usual criticizing Ethio 360 however, in my book Habtamu's analysis was great; Ermias's accusation of Dr. Abiy being anti Anbesa consequently HIM, wasn't bad either. It is known for Ethiopians to have Love-hate relationship towards HIM anyway.

If Dr. Abiy, the 7th king himself, hates HIM, so be it!

Look, why copy from others? What is about Africa is Lion! Being lion is being proud with so many connotations. They did the same thing to Ethiopian Airlines too by getting rid of the lion sign and replacing it to cartoonish wing designed by foreigner. Why? Do you erase who you are? That is exactly being done, it has nothing to do with H/Selassie but a symbol of Ethiopia! What they are saying is you are nothing but mere weak bird. The reason Lion chosen the main thing is because of African is the hub of Lion. Tplf/ Prosperity party is heading the complete destruction of what Ethiopia is. the Oromos are obsessed with Olf tribalism/Protestant/Arab flags as long as they have the power they are going to change Ethiopia to nothingness. I say Oromo because it looks like they are getting adviced by the wrong foreign groups.

What is it about destroying something to replace it with other thing that is copy cat? Mayanmar is close to China and means more to China than Ethiopia. If it must, you add to the lion not replace it!

If this thing is true I wonder why you don't question the current government, never mind about 360? Where are we heading? What is the message about the similarity of Dr Aby and Ang sang suchi of Mayanmar as someone mentioned the other day. Peacock as symbol and Noble Peace price winning.
