Tigrayans founded and expanded Ethiopia - Some of the Amhara were Tigrayans, who later migrated to Shoa

Post by EthioRedSea » 24 Apr 2020, 14:24

Tigrayans founded Ethiopia and expanded it. Tigrigna language expresses what it is today Ethiopia. Tigrayans speak and sing about Abay River every day. Abay means large or big in Tigrigna.

Tigrayans and Tigrigna is what Ethiopia has been and was. Some amhara might have migrated from West and South Africa as their way of life is similar to our brothers and sisters in other African countries.
We can analyze the Amharic language and culture to compare it with Tigrigna language and culture. With Tigrayans and Tigrigna, Ethiopia is real, ancient nation. With Amharic and amhara, Ethiopia is brute and tribal. For example take the word "month" and translate it to amharic and Tigrigna. In Amharic "ወር ", in Tigrigna "ወርሂ". Take the word moon, which is translated as "ጨረቃ"' to Amharic and "ወርሂ" to Tigrigna. "Moon" was the pre-aksumite God. The inference is that Tigrigna and Tigray has connection with pre-Aksumite and aksumite era.

Another example is the word Abay, which is designated to Nile River. In Amharic, the word "ዓባይ"' is rarely used in every day language. Whereas in Tigrigna, the word "ዓባይ" is used in every language and means large or big or elder in age. Tigrigna and Tigrayans use the word "ዓባይ" in songs or to designate localities. Amharic uses the word "ዓባይ"' to designate "Nile"' river and localities adjacent to "Nile " River or as names to persons. Amhara people sing about Abay River too. Abay River is part of the Amhara culture and identity. The inference is Tigrigna and Tigrayans are more ancient than Amhara as they are pervasive and define today's Ethiopia through their language and culture including religion. Without Tigrayans and Tigrigna, Ethiopia is fake, fiction, fairy tale (to be continued).

Since when did Axumites speak Tigrinya, the identity of Tigray Tigrinya began in Semhar and Hamasien, the rise of Tigrinya langauge was once Axum was no longer a empire, historical sites near Axum suggest a Proto-Amharic culture and language

Also It’s quite the opposite under Tigray and Tigrinya rulers Ethiopia has been divided such as Meles Zenawi who turned the nation of Ethiopia into a tribal primitive African country also remember when Tigrayan Tedros proudly exclaimed he was a Negro etc and made Ethiopia out n!gger Bantu nations for the last 29 years Etc

Agame boy,

do you have a single book or manuscript written in you language that is older than 120 years?  Of course not. But, i like your fairy tale though. All the non-geez ingravings an manuscripts found near and around axum is proto-amharic and amharic. TPLF hides that truth but historians don't. so keep entertaining us and i love to see your inferiority ridden comparison. We don't compare you with us since we know we are better than you. but you do compare because of your insecurity and inferiority

Tigrigna was probably developing during Aksumite or pre-Aksumite era. It originated somewhere in and around Yeha, Aksum area. But it was dominated by Geez and was thus only a dialect. As Geez stopped to be the working language of Ethiopia, Tigrigna became the language of communication for people living in Aksum, Agame, Tembien, Wolqait and Raya. Amharic originated in Debre Birhan and expanded to Shoa, Gondar and Gojamme. It became a working language in Gondar since around 15th Century and was used by non-amhara kings too.

Aksum or pre-aksumite is not proto-amhara. Tigrigna is the language and culture that developed to become pervasive in North Ethiopia (Gondar, Bahre Medire and Tigray , Wollo). Tigrigna probably existed side by side with Geez. Today, Tigrigna is spoken by more than 15 million people.

Tigrigna originated from Semhar/Hamasien Eritrea, the Tigraut peoples (Tegāru Tigrinya Tigrayit) ancestors originated from the lowlands of Eritrea, also Wolkait and Raya never spoke Tigrinya until recently I have spoke to many people from Wolkait Tegede Tselumt Kafta Humera they say they didn’t know tigrinya until Meles Zenawi forced them to speak tigrinya and made Amharic illegal in the amhara state of Wolkait, Raya was never Tigrayan for example King Yohannes invaded Raya Azebo and started assimilating the natives into tigrayan culture, Raya Kobos (Alamata-Woldia) do not speak tigrinya. This is why Rayan Tigrinya is basically a different language from other Tigrinyas like in Kebesa or Agame

Even in the 17th century Tigrinya was only Spoken North of lake Hashenge, Wolkait history is being. Re written and destroyed online by tigray terrrorists from agame province and Tembien, these two are savages garbage peoples

Garbage Tembien Agames

Debre Berhan was founded in 1429 by King Zara Yacob, Amharic originates from Bete Amhara province in today’s South Wollo the oldest Amharic speakers lived in Lake Hayq

The fact is Amharic language people and culture are older then 1000 years, first Amharas were mentioned in 1129 in Shewa during a battle with Muslim Werjis,

Istifanos Monastery

Istifanos Monastery (or St Stephen Monastery) is a monastery in Ethiopia, located in Lake Hayq. (The Stephen commemorated at the monastery is not the Saint Stephen of Acts.) The church structure was built around the 9th-century by the Aksumite king Dil Na'od[1]. In the 13th century the church was converted into a monastery in large part due to the work of Saint Iyasus Mo'a & later Emperor Yekuno Amlak.[2]

History

The monastery is responsible for producing five people, known as "Lights" (or important sources of knowledge and Christian salvation) of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. One of these Lights was Saint Tekle Haymanot, who was educated in this monastery, and helped to convert Shewa and other southern provinces by ministering and building churches.

Istifanos Monastery was looted by Imam Ahmad ibn Ibrihim al-Ghazi in 1531, who, upon coming upon the lake ordered the Arabs in his ranks to construct boats to reach the island. The first boats constructed, which were made out of wood beams bounded by cords, proved unsatisfactory; one of the Imam's followers suggested tying air sacs made of cow's skins to each raft, and this allowed the Imam's forces to sail across the lake to the monastery. Seeing that they were now defenseless, the monks of the monastery surrendered their valuables to prevent the destruction of their home.[3]

Hayq Town and Lake are Tigray's territory, Most Gondar and Wollo was under Tigray and the people are conversant in Tigrigna, There is evidence Bahir Dar and surrounding localities are Tigrean territories .

As to Amhara, a small percentage is from Tigray. The majority are migrants from West Africa like Cameroon and Guinea Bissau. Some names of persons in West Africa are
Amharic and some communities in Cameroon speak Amharic. Some Amhara communities are of non-Amhara origin (Gudella Amharas).
