Isak: Florentino fix it/ LaLiga.es

Real Madrid has been eliminated from the Copa del Rey by Real Sociedad, thanks to the impressive game that Martin Odegaard and especially Alexander Isak have scored. The Swedish striker has shown that he is a world-class footballer with an impressive progression since he is only 20 years old, he has the perfect characteristics to take the position of '9' in the Madrid team.

Isak arrived at the Real just without making noise last summer, in exchange for just over six million euros and six months later he has shown that he has a lot of goal in his boots; specifically he has 13 goals and two assists, becoming one of the best Soccer players of the Txuri Urdin team. The Swede has won the total confidence of Imanol Alguacil, who has made him his reference in the attack which is being vital for his scoring explosion.

In my opinion, Florentino Pérez should take advantage of the fact that he has Odegaard in the Basque team to try to take on the services of the young striker since he is a footballer who would leave Luka Jovic at the height of the bitumen, striker who has not shown anything since that stepped on the Santiago Bernabéu and that cost a whopping 60 million euros. The Swede would not be the first time he appears in the plans of Real Madrid, in fact in 2017 they were waiting for him in Madrid but he decided to change course and sign for Borussia Dortmund.

The young player has been compared to Ibrahimovic since he started kicking the ball, in fact, after his departure from Borussia he was nicknamed, badly, as the Ibra de Hacendado. Today he has shown once again that he is a player to take into account 20 years, almost two meters high and a scoring nose that removes the hiccup would endorse his signing for the merengue team. Florentino, check it out!!

The peace process between Eritrea and Ethiopia is a shining example of 'African solutions to African problems' and a major contribution to the @_AfricanUnion goal of: Silencing the Guns in the continent.

In a bid to celebrate this major achievement and to share experiance, the Permanent Missions of Eritrea and Ethiopia have organized a digital photo exhibition at the AU HQ during the ongoing AU Summit.

As if borders of African countries were drawn along linguistic lines, the TPLF supporters want the world to believe they were the only Africans unjustly divided by a colonial boundary, and are harping about being “brothers” & “one people” with Tigrigna speaking Eritreans. None sense!

First & foremost, the TPLF & its Tigrean supporters should remember what they did to Eritreans during the 1998-2000 war. They deported more than 76,000 Eritreans for not liking the “color of their eyes”, robbing them of everything they owned; & desecrated Eritrean heroes tombs.

Second, the earlier they accept the fact that Eritreans don’t care for them more than our Sudanese, Yemeni or Djiboutian neighbors, the better. It will help them make peace, with their fellow Ethiopians. It’s foolish to drop what you have, dreaming about what you’ll never get.

3rd, there’s nothing special about sharing a language across a colonial border. The Fulani stretch across the Sahel from Red Sea to the Atlantic, covering 20 countries. The Luo are found in Ethiopia, S. Sudan, Uganda, DRC, Kenya & Tanzania; the Berber across 8 N. African countries.

4th; they should swallow their shallow pride & genuinely apologize for biting the innocent Eritrean fingers that fed them, for stabbing the EPLF's back that carried them from Dedebit to Finfinie, for the chaos they fueled in Somalia and for plundering & fragmenting Ethiopia.

Finally, they should stop their nonsense “people to people” talk. At the moment there is no Eritrean who trusts them. Let them first comply with their treaty obligation: vacating occupied Eritrean territories. Then and only then, can they hope for forgiveness and redemption.

Fenkil Operation Facts

On the night of February 8, 1990 the EPLF forces launched a surprise attack on Ethiopian army to liberate the Port City of Massawa. A year earlier, the EPLF built up its naval capabilities consisting of a small fleet of gun boats.

Map credit, Tom Cooper

The EPLF forces launched the offensive from Sheeb, demolished the 6th Division’s headquarters within 3 hrs and its deputy commander was captured. EPLF forces destroyed the 21st, 83rd, 112th, and 113th Brigades more than five hours.

EPLA smashed the 3rd, 27th, 29th Mecha Brigade, 4th Tanks Brig, 18th Infan Div and additional 2 mecha brig and cut the Asmara-Massawa route at Gahtelay. Rescue forces dispatched from Asmara & Forto, were beaten at Dogali and Ghindae.

Captivating beauty, of the Eritrean Red Sea

Written by Amanuel Mesfin

http://www.shabait.com/about-eritrea/hi ... n-red-sea-

About Eritrea - History & Culture

With a 1,215-kilometer coastline, along with hundreds of kilometers of coast around its more than 350 islands, Eritrea is the proud owner of over 11% of the total area of the Red Sea.

Every part of the Eritrean Red Sea speaks of yet unexploited potential, ranging from the numerous islands offering outstanding diving spots and mesmerizing white sandy beaches to the rich biodiversity within the sea. Mangroves, around 10 types of sea grass and seaweed, salt bushes also make part of Eritrean marine resources.

The Red Sea is also a global hotspot for marine biology and home to rare fish species. In fact, almost 20 per cent of the fish species found here are not found anywhere else in the world. Among the most common types of fish: Jellyfish, Barracuda, Black Bass, Groupers, Manta Ray, Kingfish, Parrot Fish, Snappers, Coral Fish, Puffer Fish can be mentioned. Over a thousand types of fish and 220 types of corals are reportedly found, around the Dahlak Archipelago only.

One of the significant Eritrean marine resources is the abundance of coral reefs. Spectacular coral reefs, which spread for 20- 30meters, are found in every coastline and all off shore islands and are all in the most of pristine conditions. On top of being a habitat to various types of fish, coral reefs have also high demands for ornamentation purposes.

Still in the ecosystem, the Eritrean coastline is home to the endangered dugong (sea cow), various species of birds, nesting turtles, as well as crabs and lobsters. Whales and dolphins, which are frequently seen around the Dahlak Islands, also make part of the Eritrean marine fauna.

The Red Sea pristine waters also offer ample opportunities for underwater explorations, through diving and snorkeling. On top of the colorful underwater life, divers can also explore old Italian shipwrecks, which pose as archaeological evidences of one of early man’s first encounters with the sea.

Apart from these tourist attraction features of the Red Sea, researchers have assessed that the Red Sea is also rich in oil and natural gas while there is very high potential for harnessing geothermal energy. It also yields several minerals like copper, nickel, cobalt, magnesium, titanium, aluminum, potassium, lead, etc… the list goes on.

At the historical level, the Red Sea was an important trade route throughout human history, linking the trade goods of India and the Far East with the markets of Egypt and Europe, trough its ports at Adulis and Zula.

The Red Sea has 355 off shore islands, only ten of which are inhabited while 137 others have no given names. Temperature in the islands reaches from 35- 45 °C between the months of May and September, while from November to February scores of 175 – 250mm of rainfall can be registered.

Ancient Turkish and Islamic ruins, the many hundred years old Arab inscriptions that date 500 years back to the Turkish colonization, the monumental cisterns, a necropolis, and the 360 wells are important living historical footprints that make the Dahlak Islands world class tourism attraction sites.

Dahlak Kebir, which is the largest of all the Dahlak islands, is far bigger in size than Andorra, Monaco, Malta, Seychelles, San Marino, and yet not explored to the maximum nor its attractions exploited.

It is a historical place because it has tomb stones where Arab calligraphic writings have been artistically engraved in 1344 (Hegira); as well as 365 wells dug at hard coral rocks which were intended to be used one well for one day and each well would supply the inhabitants water for a year long. The island also maintains links, with the ancient port of Adulis.

Highly worth mentioning is the remarkable role the Red Sea played, during the Eritrean Struggle for Liberation. The transportation of military logistics and offensives from small motor boats against big warships was witnessed in the Red Sea, as the Eritrean freedom fighters made their determined advances against the Ethiopian regimes. Operation Fenkil, would suffice to portray the historical importance of the Red Sea.

After all is said, it’s true that its strategic position, pristine coastlines, rich biodiversity, historical and archaeological traces among others definitely make the Red Sea one of the world’s most important water bodies, but it’s also true that the world has yet to know about the untouched wealth that lies beneath the clear blue waters of the Eritrean Red Sea. And when it does, the role it would have on the tourism sector in particular and the economy of the country in general is simply enormous and worth of pride.
