It's my strong belief that his life was spared by Shabia and Isayas Afwerki rather than by Mamo Killo. So the question should be why Isayas let this guy live while he killed the other two Woyane lords, Seyoum Mesfin and Aboy Tsehaye. Was Isayas repaying his debt to Sibihat's favor or is Sibihat a real Shabia as he claimed in the past? He swore to protect the Eritrean independence many times in the past.

To Eritrea, there is no “good guy” in Weyane’s fold. They all have something in common, from Meles to Seye, from Sibhat Nega to Adanech Nega, from Seyum Mesfin to Abay Weldu, they all share a common goal; distriying Eritrea by any means. Some of these juntas are upfront in showing their hate for Eritrea while others hide it; nonetheless, Shaebia always outsmart and outgun them and the result now shows who is standing tall while the most of these junta leaders are 6 feet under.
