I don't know who this monkey is, but I am almost sure he is a 19th Century version of Berhane Gebrekristos.
Are you talking about Woldeab Woldemariam ወል-ወል- Wel Wel? Which charters of Aboy Weldeab are you lamenting?justo wrote: ↑03 Aug 2023, 11:57

Meles introduced us to Michael Suhul, Sebhat Nega to Bezbiz Kassa, Getachew Asefa to Alula, Abay Tsehaye to Woldeab Woldemariam. Thanks to present-day woyane characters, we got to properly know historical characters like Michael Suhul, Bezbiz, Alula, Woldeab, etc.
Meles has helped us re-evaluate the past and its various characters.
Eritreans are trusting people, we swallowed his ትችዓተ ሳዕ ቶኪሶም ሲሒቶምኒ ኤርትራዉያን, as if Eritreans miss. That kind of fairy tale wouldn't have worked among his people in Tigray.sarcasm wrote: ↑03 Aug 2023, 15:32Are you talking about Woldeab Woldemariam ወል-ወል- Wel Wel? Your great grandchildren will say the same thing about Berhane Gebrekristos and Sebhat Nega. Specially about Sebhat they will say, Negadras Sebhat Nega was a multibillionaire and an economic genius who with sheer will power out of nothing created the biggest conglomerate in Africa. Negadras Sebhat Nega, unlike other billionaires, used his money to uplift the poor, but Ethiopians got jealous of his success and wouldn't let him realise his plans for modernising the country, why Negadras Nega had to end his life in exile in the US.

Children understand at best only the present. We use parables to help children like you understand the past, to see parallels between the past and the present. You think Sebhat Nega is only part of your present, he is also your window to the pastSelam/ wrote: ↑04 Aug 2023, 21:51ሰውዬው ማን እንደሆነ እንኳን ሳታውቅ እኮ ነው “ይኸ ዝንዠሮ ደግሞ ማነው?“ ያልከው። አሁን ለማጨናበር ጉፋያ ስብሃት ነጋን ከጉያህ ውስጥ ጎርጉረህ አውጥተህ ከጉዳዩ ጋር ምንም የማይገናኝ ዉይይት ውስጥ ጨመርከው።

Historical figures seem to be larger than life to children who can only understand the present.

The monkey in the picture was a real life person in his days, and probably cheated and lied his way to prominence just like Siye and Abay tried to do in your days. Having experienced the lies of Meles and his friends, the lies of tagay Paulos and his minions, I never give a pass to a person simply because he lived 200 years ago.
Remember, had the monkey lived today he would be 30 and not 230 years old, and most probably would have been a mid-level woyane functionary or a member of Baytona or Salsay woyane, or spewing lies from TMH like Alula. So he is not going to get a pass from me, just because you call him negadras.
BTW, I am a phrenologist and can read character from physiognomy
