SIMON ATEBA, TODAY NEWS AFRICA: I went around yesterday to see how much African leaders were paying to attend this trip, and I realized that some of the hotels in DC are charging them up to $22,000 per night. So it is an expensive trip.
Some of them are spending $50 million, from countries where people live on less than $1 U.S. dollar per day.
So my question is: If they have to spend all this money and travel thousands of miles, why didn't the White House plan one on one meetings with those African leaders?
JAKE SULLIVAN, NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISOR: Well first, the president will greet every single African leader and engage with them when they come for the dinner tomorrow night. Second, if you look at the substance of this summit, the sessions that he is going to sit with those leaders around the table, and deal with, it is the things that they have asked to talk about that he will be talking about with them. And those leaders will have the opportunity to speak in those sessions to President Biden and to one another, so we can collectively come up with a common strategy to deliver for the people of Africa. And if you look at what substance this summit is going to deliver, from the business forum all the way to the leaders' sessions, I believe it is going to be three days where you will see put on display real, tangible deliverables and results that are going to improve peoples' lives.

It’s estimated that African leaders burnt around $3billion for the summit. It would have been fair if Biden had covered his expenses and attended the Summit in Addis Ababa.

Every individual has their own opinion on what should be done, but the British monarchy has been around for centuries and knows how to handle these matters with grace, diplomacy, and respect.
The British monarchy demonstrates a certain level of sophistication and knowledge that cannot be replicated elsewhere. It is a reminder of how far we have come since the days when tyrants ruled our lands and criminals were given free rein to do as they pleased. The British monarchy stands out as a beacon of justice and order in an increasingly chaotic world.
It is this same wisdom, knowledge, and experience that makes the British monarchy so successful in dealing with tyrants and criminals. From its centuries of experience in dealing with difficult people, it knows how to keep them in check while maintaining respect for their victims. It knows how to negotiate with these dictators while also standing up for the rights of those they oppress.
The British monarchy has proven time and again that it can maintain both order and justice even in trying circumstances. And I believe that this is something we should all aspire to achieve in our own lives.
