ለምን እንደ ተሸነፈ ደካማ ታጉራራለህ? ለጥያቄው መልስ የለህም ። ቴዲን በዷላና በደንቆሮ ድንፋታ የምትገታው ነገር አይደለም ። ዛሬ ያንተ አለቆች የሚዘፍኑት ፍቅር ዎያኔ ሲከሰት ቴዲ የገራቸው ዘላለማዊ ሃቅ ነው ። ይህ ደሞ ኢትዮጵያ ሁሉ ዝም ብሎ የሚከታተለው ዘላለማዊ ሃቅ ነው። አሁን መልስ? ለምን?

I don't agree with this conclusion. If you know your guest is touchy about a certain subject or person, it is poor form to bring it up while you are hosting them. So on that occasion, Teddy is at fault for not understanding diplomacy and decorum. You can tell it was all cheerful and smiles on both sides until Teddy brought up "Ye Haile Selassie Amlak"
Of course Teddy has every right to appreciate and love HIM, any Ethiopian ought to, but he should have known the gravity of that moment and to at least pull back such talk for the sake of the guest.

It is obvious to everyone by now, the price of this singer has dropped almost to zero by Ethiopians ever since the Ethiopian saver, Dr Abiy came to power. Ethiopians found their real hero, Dr Abiy. I was in Addis recently and no one talks about this singer anymore. He burned many bridges, as Americans say; he created divisions among Weyane victims for the sake of one corrupt and coward king Haile Sellasie. His fan base now shirked to very few, young, uneducated who has no idea what Haile Sellasie did to Ethiopia and Ethiopians. It is sad though, you, as former EPRP that struggle to overthrow the monarchy and person who is over 60 think this young singer who worships corrupt and coward king, you see him as your hero.

That's wrong. Dr Abiy gave a very important speech early in his tenure where he goes into detail the importance of music and art in uplifting citizenry and he made mentions of the significance of Teddy in this regard.
So there is no question he values Teddy's contributions and for espousing Ethiopianism at a time when it was being under relentless attack. But like I said, even when there is broad consensus on what HIM means to the country, if you know your guest is likely to be upset by any such mentions, you should know enough to be quiet about it. That puts Dr Abiy in an even more awkward position.

Giving credit where credit is due, in that video Tedy raised Eritrean Flag first, to make the guest "comfortable". As a non sell out Ethiopian, he mentioned HIM afterwords; what we can't be sure of is, to what degree the name HIM offends PIA? Is it more than Meles/Mengistu's name? That is, notwithstanding PIA has a "Royal blood" himself.
If anyone is upset then, those are the confused ones, the ones who want to kiss PIA's behind using all means available! however, one thing is certain, PIA is not stupid.
