I know Somalia very well i have stayed there a few months and have relatives there also who i speak to daily
Puntland are poltiical savy but they believe they can rule all of Somalia all together. They are more confident then the Somalilanders. Puntlanders have no interest to break up Somalia they want a federal formula. if they wanted independence when Abdilahi Yusuf was presiden the could have easily sign of Puntland as an independent state and not one person could have stopped it. U act as if the so called mps in Somalia are so trust worthy and hones they take bribes and what not. How can u trust them to safe guard the Somali unity i thought u were smarter then that. It takes an executive order from the president villa Somalia to sign the papers ,the parliament will endorse it like its nothing dear lad. I cant believe ur so naive that a crazy house of parliament selected by some corrupt odayaal will not vote to endorse a deal if given 100k , Its just that the Somalilanders are just to dumb to go via that particular route. They want to go via the hard road. Selling land to gallas and what not. Barlaamaanka somalia waxa ka buuxa the likes of Abdishakur oo badi ibsaday eeh kenya.

Like Eritrea was first recognised by Ethiopia. And how Basheer of sudan first recognised south sudan. They just need to convince the government of Somalia to hold a referendum on independence and viola there u have it. And u dont need to sell ur shores to gallas. Even if they have to bribe or create a puppet government the Dir clan the main clan of Somaliland has 62 seats in the parliament in Mogadishu. But they are not that bright our president in Djibouti told them once that they put the cart before the horse. The world hates Unilateral secession. i assure if the Puntland people of Somalia wanted secession they would have gained recognition in 1991 they are politically savy they understood the game. And they are the best Somali politicians they produced two President Abdilahi Yusuf sharmarke in the 1960s and a dozen prime ministers. They are the most political savy in the west all the parliamanterians in the west whether its ilhaan omar the guy on the international court. All hail from puntland. I think they would have made it before our brothers in Hargeisa.Dark Energy wrote: ↑21 Jan 2024, 15:54Jikkar…
Abbiy used you. You did not use him. Let me explain. Many countries around the World, including the AU were considering recognition of Somali Land before Abbiy signed the MOU. When Abbiy signed the MOU, which is nothing but a memorandum, and later on, denying the recognition part, that changed everything. It is called strings attached. Once Ethiopia had recognized you without strings attached, other countries would have followed. Somali Land fell victim to Abbiy. Your leaders are not that bright. Recognition should have come first. The rag tag boy, from thr zGalla land was just playing you for fools. He is all about staying popular in power.

We met them 11 times. It all Failed . Somalia is only interested To keep somaliland isolated economically and diplomatically. They also created internal problems in Somaliland. In their small mind they believe if we stay This way our peaple Will turn against The government and Somalilanders will join them one by one. They experimented This in our eastern province by Arming , financing and promising false hopes for the minorities living In the far east . They were about to do the same in our western province. Muse turned the table against them . Their whole plan collapsed. The somaliland case became an international problem. Something they didn't want to deal with. We can now bring them to court and prove that we have never been part of Somalia.
Re: A question from Somalilander to the Eritreans
Somaliland Will get what ever it wants by hook or crook. And our legal case is stronger than Iron. All we need is one or 2 countries that can cheerlead for us.
Re: A question from Somalilander to the Eritreans
I dont think u guys can get recognition from Somalia this way , u have to be smarter then that u need to make a real plan to execute it in its finer details. This whole legal thing is a long thing cant work. if that was the case u lot would have done it much earlier. The world is controlled from 3 different centers Washington Brussels and Bejjing .Bejjing cant happen since u welcomed taiwan. The Europeans told u its up to Somalis to decide their future and as u stated the talks arent headed any where . That leaves the Americans, well americans want interests what are u willing to give them for them to endorse you. You have nothing to sell like oil like South sudanese . The only way u can lure the Americans is to deal with the israelis .
The israelis control both congress and senate ,why havent u approached the Israelis??? you guys cant get recognition u guys dont know how to do it. Maybe its better to just stay with Somalia since u cant create ur own state or run it as an independent state. The last option is to Join Ethiopia but thats risky one Ethiopia will never let u go , ask the short legged eritreans how they fought for decades to gain independent and still fighting to perserve their independence.

Who said to you we have no Oil , we have more oil than Yemen . And it will be drilled this year. We have explored more than 40 thousand KM square. We did that under the nose of Somalia, Turkey, UK and Taiwan and UAE , all of them have stakes in our oil projects. See here https://genelenergy.com/operations/pre- ... omaliland/
We have better reputation of running a country than most Africans , including your tiny djibouti and Ethiopia. We are indebted to no one, we never received budget support from anyone. We control our country by our selves. No any other nation protects us. And the level of democracy and freedom in our country is unmatched only Kenya come close to us.

Please stop telling me what people of your mindset and level of knowledge have rehearsed upon you.
If one ends up knowing a country quite well simply because they've stayed in such a country, for a few months, then I can claim to know a generous bunch of countries around the world - but unfortunately this view is not shard by many.
Whether the parliament is filled with corrupt people or not, I haven't mentioned any parliament, neither have I said that it's the parliament that calls the shots.
You're a typical not-so-well educated Somali that just wants to keep arguing, trying to defend their bullsh.it by simply keep doubling it down. I'm sorry, i ain't got time for that.

If you were knowledgeable about Somalia's affairs as you claim it, you would have known that these fuc.kers have even exhausted trying to exploit Israel's route as you suggest it, in vain. Here's the letter written to Israel by their former so-called president. No matter how hard he tried to kiss Israel's ar.se, it didn't work out at all.why havent u approached the Israelis??
His Excellency The Prime Minister
of Israel Mr Yitshak Rabin
Hakirya, Fax No. 972 2 513 950

Your Excellency
Establishing Strategic Partnership with the State of Israel
In my capacity as the President of the Republic of Somaliland, an admirer
of the state of Israel and the courage of its people, please accept my
compliments and my people's profound felicitations to you, your Government,
President and the people of Israel for their tenacity, strength and
resourcefulness which had finally constrained its adversaries to make peace
with the State of Israel. I have the honour of representing the people of
Somaliland and its nascent state in this opportunity for seeking to
establish amiable and strategic links with the State of Israel.

you have no argument first u said its not up for the president to recognise any part of the country as separate , then your right i insinuated u were thinking that the parliament is the one that has the power. And next what will u tell me that Alshabaab is the one in power to decide who breaks away and who doesnt. If it isnt the president and itnt the parliament then who is ?? Care to explain i am really curious to be honest what ur answer in this situation is.
