Zack,
You could have asked "Why Djibouti is now giving away 100% free access to Red Sea", in stead of worrying your head Ethiopia should only use it for this or that. Once legs spread, it is hard to set the term. Why is Djibouti is doing it now? May be she know fears it will be either taken back by Ethiopia or her life will be extinguished without Ethiopia? All of a sudden, now Djibouti is coming out se.xy. haha
Taken back. We were never part of Ethiopia how can u take us back
As for port use the minister said Ethiopia can 100 percent fully manage the port he never said it’s free hahaha

Zeyneba,
Djibouti was leased out to France on a contractual basis. When the lease expired France asked Ethiopia (the then leadership of Mengistu Hailemariam) to take back Djibouti and re-unite with her motherland Ethiopia. Mengistu was so stupid he was busy focusing on fighting rebels Woyane and Shabia, in stead of taking the low hanging fruit Djibouti. Simply you wanted to falsify history does not mean others will believe your fiction. God created Djibouti as an integral natural part of Ethiopia. Djibouti without Ethiopia is a fish without water or a life dropped on Saturn.

Again this is nonsense on your part.To begin with, where exactly was this purported lease signed, and by whom? Furthermore, how is it that no such treaty has ever been presented for public scrutiny? Do you genuinely believe that Emperor Haile Selassie—who was renowned for his expansionist ambitions—would not have brought forth any legal claim over Djibouti to the African Union or the United Nations if it existed?
Moreover, one must question the premise that Menelik II could lease Djibouti to France for a century. Shouldn't Menelik first have held sovereignty over Djibouti to effectuate such a lease? After all, one cannot lease property one does not control. Historically, there is no evidence to suggest that Menelik II ever conquered Djibouti. If you assert otherwise, please provide the relevant evidence to substantiate Menelik II's conquest of Djibouti. What is well-documented, however, is that the French entered into treaties with the Issa Somali and Afar chieftains, not with Ethiopia. We can provide proof of these agreements, but no record of a lease wherein Ethiopia purportedly ceded Djibouti to France has ever emerged.
