Obviously the biggest loser in this war is PP. For not finishing the war decisively and baby sitting the TPLF, for embracing the TPLF apartheid system and the constitution and by behaving like the TPLF.

This war is round #3. A nation of 100 mil vs a province of 3 mil. So many have died on both sides but the collateral damage is enormous on the 100 mill side.
If you think the war wasn’t mismanaged or handled incompetently then I think you are not a normal person.
The war should have been finished decisively by the Ethiopian government. That is the consensus.

Horus who posted the analysis on this thread has never said TPLF will finish Abiye. And he never said TPLF will empower the Amharas and Afars.
His comment and analysis is in line with other genuine Political Analysts of Ethiopia. DW also has a similar program in line with his comment. Unfortunately, his is not broad enough for a larger audience in Ethiopia.
Again, this war is a power struggle between PP vs TPLF. Both of them aren’t good for Ethiopia.

Abiy may have calculated that his party OPDO-PP will come out unscrached. But this war will definitely create a third formidable force that will be strong enough to assert it's will and be part of the negotiation arrangement.

This third force will be either Amhara, or joint Amhara & Afar or a union of all other Ethiopians minus tigre and Oromo.

We all know Fano's ended up being better armed last time. There will be another opportunity to cache more weapons now by taking it from TDF or retreating ENDF. In the end TPLF will again stretch too much from supply lines becoming vulnerable to smaller units of FANO or Afar militias. In the end the third force will have equal representation on the final negotiation between Tigre and Oromo lead two ends
