A very stupid rumour.
Lease for what? Assab has no strategical importance.
It is only purpose is to serve Ethiopia.
No body touches Assab unless they have the consent of Ethiopia.

The Eris begged USA,Iran,Russia and Iran to use Assab. They all rejected it. They know the tiny nation of crazy people who are ready to eat each other is dwindling and heading to extinction.

Look at the bright side. The half a million Ethiopian migrants stranded along the Saudi-Yemeni border will soon have an opportunity to do manual labor at the Assab Port and earn a decent salary to make Ethiopia Great Again! :P :P
