Ethiopia is in big sh!t.

The price of basic goods skyrocketing unprecedentedly:

Can you imagine? The price of basic goods is unheard of in Ethiopia’s history. One loaf of bread weighing 70g is priced at 13 birr — it was around 4 birr six or seven years ago. Half liter milk is now 100 birr, which was around 20 birr just three or four years ago.

The government is lying:

The government is lying by saying Ethiopia stopped exporting necessary goods because the country’s production potential has been attained. Abiy said we are producing enough wheat to completely end the need for imports. But where is the wheat? Nothing to be seen.

The government also lied about oil found in Ethiopia — where is it at this crucial time?

The government has also repeatedly stressed the importance of electric vehicles, but where are they at this critical time? What is happening to Belayneh Kindie’s EV car? Where are the buses they were manufacturing? Even the buses we saw on the roads after the announcement are now disappearing. What happened? Why don’t they tell us — is the EV project crumbling? What is happening with Belayneh Kindie’s EV progress? What problems did he face?

Dollar to birr crisis:

What did Ethiopia benefit from floating the currency? We are still not a producer country. Why should the entire country pay the price for the little money we get from what we produce, like coffee? Abiy and his thugs are confidently walking toward their dream, not because of the money from the currency float, but at the expense of every citizen’s blood and tears. You should know that everyone who has a house in Addis pays more than 70k birr per year — but we don’t know where that money goes.

Abiy’s madness: Uprooting people from their homes to build a park and a kids’ paradise.

Why is Abiy so obsessed with stupid parks? Why so many parks? Why is he obsessed with kids’ parks? There are too many parks — I’m bored of them. You know what? If these sites dedicated to useless parks were given to investors to build huge buildings, they could bring in billions in revenue, which could reduce the exploitation of Addis citizens who pay large sums in taxes.

Rather than wasting public money on endless parks, why don’t they build something that generates revenue? For example, factories and industries could reduce the huge cost of living by some margin. Instead of spending public money on useless parks, why don’t they buy 1,000 electric buses that could eliminate transport issues?

How much extra money for civil servants can handle this deteriorating situation?
