Congratulations to Mewael Girmay on his impressive performance at the Tour du Rwanda, 2026!

Riding for the Istanbul Team, also known as Istanbul Continental Team, the young Eritrean cyclist made an immediate impact on the opening stage. Today, February 22, 2026, he sprinted to an excellent 3rd place on Stage 1, finishing behind stage winner Itamar Einhorn (NSN Development Team) and runner-up Hodei Muñoz (Soudal Quick-Step Devo Team). His compatriot Henok Mulubrhan, racing for the Eritrean national team, took 4th in the bunch sprint, underscoring the depth of Eritrean talent shining brightly right from the start of the race.




Mewael also claimed the Best Young African Rider and Best African jerseys, highlighting African excellence and emerging talent in this prestigious event.

Eritreans thru out the world need to march and strike in front of the Egypt embassy and councilors, target on X or Twitter, by attacking and denigrating the unsafe security of the Egyptian tourism, in major cities Washington DC, New York, Berlin, Paris, Stockholm, Ottawa, Toronto, London, Rome ...
