The fear and panic is everywhere in Tigrinya Eritrea now. Eritrea is the most militarized nation on earth. War touches, almost every Tigrinya speaking christian Eritrean than any other ethnic group in the state.
The ethnic Tigrinya man and woman, boy or girl, are forced to be conscripted, from late high school years indefinitely. With the female Muslims excluded from the army service, other Eritrean male ethnic groups are either very few in the army or mostly beyond the reach of the regime, because they can easily sneak thru the borders to Afar Kilil Ethiopia or to eastern Sudan. Therefore, the responsibility carried by the ethnic Tigrinya is immense.
I know this because I had served as a high school teacher in the Gash Barka region in Haykota and Teseney. The university and college graduates doing a National Service, as teachers (Middle school and High school), hospital nurses, farm technicians, road and dam builders, army conscripts, mechanics ... you name it are almost all ethnic Tigrinya with little pay.
More than 90% of the Eritrean combatant war dead in the last 50 years are Christian Eritreans. The sad part is that the whole so called "Liberation" is a major lose and disappointment to Ethnic Tigrinya. It only brought them endless misery after misery. Every time, Eritrean refugees are kidnapped or killed by the Arab Muslim in the Arab Passage, more than 90% are Christian Tigrinya. The best example is the Lampedusa tragedy in the sea, where all the 368 dead were ethnic Tigrinya names listed and documented.
True, the end is coming to Eritrea. Without the heavy lifting of the Christian Tigrinya, there will never be any Eritrea, except another Somalia, Yemen or Sudan alike on the Red Sea coast. The false experiment and lies will be over soon.

The notion of the Tigrayan TPLF and the Eritrean Shaebia winning a war against Abiy Ahmed's army is a wishful thinking. The best strategy for the Tigrayan TPLF is to survive this war by letting the Ethiopian army pass thru Tigray to Eritrea for the war to take place inside Eritrea.
The TPLF should not entangle itself into another unnecessary costly war against Ethiopia.
Given the recent destruction and atrocities committed in Tigray by Abiy Ahmed and Issaias Afeworki, war should be the last in Tigrayan cards. Tigray needs to heal and play smart politics to punch above its weight.
At this time, Tigray will get nothing from the poor and dying Issaias Afeworki, not even a federation and ports.
In short, Tigray needs to make peace with itself and stay neutral.
Let me tell you, in this round of the war, with out full support of the Tigrayans, Shaebia will be humiliated. Shaebia is in disadvantage in population army size, drone and aerial warfare, electronic technology, financial and diplomatic power, except mechanized and artillery warfare, however, this is the era of UAV drones. The drones will simply destroy Eritrea's mechanized forces in few round of sorties. ,

Defeating the Eritrean Shaebia army in the hand of Abiy Ahmed's Prosperity Party in just few weeks is guaranteed. The first launch of the war will be massive air and drone strikes at everything that moves in Eritrea, that includes ammunition depot, petrol and army supply depot, followed by relentless destructive strike to the most powerful of Shaebia's mechanized division - 525.
Unless, the superpowers convince Abiy Ahmed to slow down or pressure him thru UAE, the Oromo army will march straight first to Omahajer and Gulij, then Badme, Adi Tsetser and Barentu. On the second phase, the Oromo army will cross the Mereb river on foot from Selekleka, by avoiding the defenses around Adwa and Rama. In the third phase, when Shaebia is exhausted and its human power is depleted, the Oromo army is going to force itself to Asab port.
As soon as Issaias Afeworki escapes to Saudi Arabia thru Port Sudan, the Shaebia regime will collapse and Eritrea will be rendered a dysfunctional failed state.
As this destruction is taking place, none of the diaspora Shaebia supporters and the Arab Jihadi dogs will attempt to go to Eritrea to support the poor Eritrean conscripts. The people of Tigray are abandoning and leaving Tigray in thousands a day. First rate eye witness from Mekele, Tigray said, bus ticket and air tickets to leave Tigray are all sold out for the next five weeks.
