The Three Enemies of Oromummà Are Dying in Turn!

By Fayyis Oromia*

There is no question that the three enemies of Oromummà are:
- Assimilative Amhara elites
- Hegemonist Tigrayan elites
- Assimilated Oromo elites

As the Oromo were fighting against the hegemonist Woyane regime, we planned our movement systematically. Our first goal was to defeat the powerful Woyane by cooperating with all anti-TPLF forces, including the potentially dangerous, backward-looking Naftagnas. Thanks to Abiy Ahmed’s misguided approach, Woyane is now gone—never to return. However, this same approach allowed the Naftagna to organize and militarize themselves as Abiy’s allies.

This is why we must now confront these nostalgic forces who long to reclaim the Finfinne Palace. Surely, the Naftagna will soon be history. Once we are free of both the Naftagna and Woyane, we can finally focus on defeating the ruling Hybrid elites—those who insist on maintaining Amharanet/Amarigna dominance rather than elevating Oromic/Oromummaa to its rightful, leading position in Ethiopia.

Oromummà is growing—slowly but surely—as a leading identity and a core component of Ethiopiawinet, representing at least 40% of the country. The Oromo Republicans in OFC and OLF are its main promoters. The three forces currently obstructing the promotion of Oromummaa are:

The severely weakened assimilative Amhara elites
The recently defeated Tigrayan hegemonists
The currently ruling hybrid Oromo elites, with their slave mentality
For 150 years, the assimilative Amhara elites did everything in their power to destroy Oromummà and promote Amharanet. The Tigrayan hegemonists had a chance to end Amharanet dominance and promote Oromummà, but they chose otherwise. And now, an enslaved segment of the Oromo elite, led by Dr. Abiy, reveres Amharanet instead of honoring Oromummà—thus maintaining the existing hegemony.

This is why Abiy’s Ethiopia mirrors Menelik’s Ethiopia—it is Amapia, an Amharic-dominated state. But soon, the Oromo Republicans will rise to power in the Finfinné Palace and promote Oromic to its rightful, leading position. The future Ethiopia will become Oropia—a state led by Oromummà.
