Ilhan is in the Darod clan. Her district is home to lots of Darods. They are LOYAL and vote for her no matter what.
In the mayoral election, Omar Fateh was a member of the Darod as well. But the Somalis in Minneapolis who WEREN'T Darods campaigned for Jacob Frey, who won.
