Abiy Ahmed not stopping the growing desertification of East Ethiopia

Post by Dama » 20 Nov 2025, 03:18

When I saw Abiot Ahmed planting trees over a heavy grass in Addus, I thought this man must be a Haloween clown. I mean how else to describe such a hilarious moment? He was greening the green wasting the usefulness of a tree on a very green place where it was not need. Grass have a blanket nature to cover the land, a dense network of roots to stop erosion by flood and absolute blockade of wind erosion.

East Ethiopia, lacking trees and grass, exposing the fertile top soil to wind erosion, sinking the water table further down from the surface, helos desertification to consume more and more of farmable lands. Because:
1. No tree and grasses are planted enough
2. Wind erosion barricades are nit constructed
3. Floods are left to run off instead of retaining them in natural reservoirs.

Neglects when deliberate, they have a goal in Ethiopia: begging for famine relief and pocket most of it.
