Before many of us came to Addis, as a Gurage, unfortunately, nobody knew Sodo was even a Gurage. Sodo was mostly in Merkato and its environs whereas the rest of Gurage could be in Merkato and everywhere too. Now look at from the webpage you linked what they are writing.

That is a very unilateral assertion and I don't believe all Gurage will agree to this. The only time I learned about aymelel to be frank with you is on this forum when you guys were discussing. Call me ignorant, I don't mind. As far as I grew among Gurage, never heard the name aymelel being as all Gurage name. Also if Kistane or the Hoe-rus people came from Eritrea, he should trace his root and stop bashing Eritrea on this forum. Now he bent gala to manhandle him but telling us he came from Eritrea
That is why I hate Hoe-rus and his mnions because they concider the highest form of Gurage and want to represent the whole Gurage. That is straight thievery and should stop. When they work out in Addis with the Gala in Adabna they represent themselves. The rest of Gurage has no Adabna

All true. Not your fault. It's all due Ethiopia's as well as Gurage's low level of education and media development. It is also due to an indvidual's area of specialization. For example, a farmer, a trader, a scientist or an engineer have little to no access or time for history, linguistics or anthropoligy. All that is is changing due to new technologies in information science. Anyone can search the internet for Gurage history and learn.

The one paragraph you quoted was by the FB owner. Obvuoisly, he repeated the unfounded assertion that Gurage came from Gura Eritrea. In the comment sectiotion, participants debunked this false history and quoted Profs. Delibo and Bernall as well as Amde Seyons chronicles on how he fought the Gurages.
