Abiy Ahmeds Letter to the UN!

The letter, dated October 2, 2025, from Ethiopia's Foreign Minister Gedion Timothewos Hessebon to UN Secretary-General António Guterres, accuses the Eritrean government and a faction of the TPLF of colluding to "wage war" and being involved in recent offensives in the Amhara Region. It states that the alliance is "actively preparing to wage war against Ethiopia" and is "funding, mobilizing, and directing armed groups such as Fano" to expand the conflict. The letter also claims that TPLF commanders and fighters participated in an offensive to capture the town of Woldiya.
Eritrea has accused Ethiopia of using diplomatic communications to rationalize and ignite conflict. Previously, the Ethiopian Foreign Minister had sent a similar letter to the U.S. Secretary of State, accusing Eritrea of "cooperating and coordinating" with a TPLF faction to launch major offensives.
