Gulf countries are frantically diversifying their economies due to the global transition away from oil to electric, solar and wind power. Their oil wells are also nearing the end of their productive life, or its costing them more to extract oil from deeper wells. For these reasons, Port operation has become their bread and but-ter. The UAE has port operation contracts in as many as 50 countries.

What boggles the mind is, why Ethiopia, out of all countries, chose to work against the interest of Africans. Perhaps, the sole purpose for its creation in 1945 was to be a bulwark against Africa's economic and political independence. What a shame!
